I was there yesterday 02/21 for a post-job coffee break, and for my first time at Van Houtte.5 Stars for the atmosphere because it was pleasantly quiet, but we could do better in terms of hygiene (the tables) and the general appearance of the place, the presentation of the cakes makes you not want to eat them, and My maple latte was bland, bordering on not good.Good improvement?

I waited a long time even though there weren't that many people and there were 4 employees! The reason ? The staff does not know how to use the cash register and cannot find the items…But that's nothing. The real problem was that my hot chocolate is literally milk. No chocolate

We came from nove scotia to stay for few days, i googled this cafe and was very excited to try here, coffee is very very good i loved it, i ordered cappuccino nd my frnd ordered filter coffee. The only thing is service lady working in morning attended me so rude, no smile , i understand that we dont speak french , i even tip her after paying but her attitude, Atleast she could smile ,Not to mention the guy working in the morning was very helpful to usVegetarian options: Salad also we ordered it was great

I was very disappointed with my experience... Me and my sister came to study since the café is accessible and close to the metro. On the other hand, there is no access to wifi even though it is advertised otherwise in the window. We didn't even receive an explanation as to why when we asked the waiters who answered us stupidly. We also received this information after spending $12 which turned out to be very useless... I don't recommend :(

As others have shared here, the staff is very nice and courteous but the quality is really not up to par. The staff does not know how to use the cash register. The coffees were prepared iced even though everything had been ordered hot. Additionally, to change an iced latte into a hot one, an employee would simply go and reheat it in the machine instead of preparing another one. At $7 a latte, we're surprised! Cleanliness is not there either. Hoping it will improve in the future! :)

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the coffees brewed are good, but there aren't enough people to do all the work. I visited the cafe 4 times this week and there were only 2 people each time (this morning only 1 for several minutes) to do everything: cashier, preparing drinks, serving food organizing and cleaning the tables. The result is that the wait can be long... and the place could be cleaner. I recorded this video because it shocked me the little flies trapped inside the display case where the food is.

Came back to try again and nope, same terrible management. Not sure if it's the same manager but it's not a surprise why this place is empty compared to before. You had to fight for a table before. The policies are ridiculous and the staff look miserable (again no surprise given what the cashier told me). Tried to give a second chance but no thank you! So many other places deserving of my money.

The poor employees were understaffed and didn't know how to make coffees or how to take orders. I waited a long time. The coffee station was unhygienic, milk was left on the counter. The tables are all dirty with uncleaned plates and trash. The employees are not supervised.
