We walked in as soon as we saw the Chiens Bienvenues sign outside. Then we walked in and were greeted by a truly welcoming JF. This was our first stop at Montreal, and what a nice welcome it was. JF is a true dog lover with a wall full of dogs and their humans to prove. Sandwiches and coffees were great as well. Stop by if you’re in the neighborhood.
What a wonderful spot. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner (incredibly friendly) about his cafe, his mother to which the cafe was dedicated to, and his dog (may Mucho rest in peace). He has put a lot of heart into the place and it shows - you can feel the passion. The wall of framed dogs got me. Coffee was great and I’m so glad I stopped by on my way to the gardens. I’ll be sure to make a stop when I come back to Montreal, whether that be for another coffee stop...
It was another street, another building but inside it was unlike any other space, the vibe, the host, the coffee, the food, and the love that has gone into crafting this place.
As our symphony in Montreal had to end, it ended with the perfect note at Café Alice.
This is not a review. It is a gratitude,...
