My best place in Montréal for a fine and romantic breakfast à la française.

Very unpleasant experience
I went for coffee and a croissant at this cafe recently and was served a dark brown croissant the size of it. I pointed out to the waitress that her croissant was not fresh, she replied that it was a croissant that had been made the same morning. The fact that its croissants were baked the same morning is no guarantee of freshness.
Indeed, it was obvious at first glance that his croissants had been overcooked and that there was no moisture left inside to keep them fresh, so that at 9 a.m. all his croissants were dry as if they had been cooked the day before. With each butcher, the croissant crumbled into 1000 crumbs in my mouth because there was no longer any moisture molecule to maintain the structure of the croissant. It was the same kind of croissant that I had been served the day before.
So the cook intervened to tell me that he makes the best croissants and that it's me who doesn't know croissants. I even brought him two croissants from a competitor not far from this business and he refused to compare. Preferring to lock himself in his bubble of illusion that he makes the best croissants and that it's me who doesn't know croissants.
Moreover, it had been 7 years since I had not returned to this cafe since 7 years ago I had asked for a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, lettuce and bacon well cooked dry and brittle so that no trace of white, trans and carcinogenic fat remains.
He had served me my breakfast sandwich with bacon far from the way I had asked him to cook it. So I told him to ask the little waitress to explain how to do it since she always cooked the bacon the way I asked her. It stung him to the core. He took my sandwich and put it in the panini oven until the crust turned black. This is the little revenge of a small and base being.
Me who went to this café every day and spent $5 a day during the week and $20 on weekends. If we multiply these figures by 50 weeks this will give us $2250 per year that I consumed in this café. Now let's multiply by 7 years during which I did not return. His stupidities cost him $15,750 in lost earnings.
Furthermore, as soon as we enter this Café, there is a smell of sanitary product that hits us rather than a smell of good food. There are also 2 huge industrial fans which make a lot of noise and at the back, this Café has been set up like a warehouse. It feels like you're having lunch in a garage. As a restaurateur, I have seen much better elsewhere. So I don't encourage anyone to go to this cafe.
I believed that this cook who is also an owner had improved over time. Well no, he got worse, because in addition to being incompetent and dishonest, he is also pretentious and arrogant. There is only one thing left for him to do: “fire himself”.
This unpleasant experience is taken from an actual fact, concrete and objective and not subjective.

Bon service. Bon cafe assez léger mais pareil goûteux légèrement amère sans trop d'acidité. Bien climatiser mais les chaise (en metal) son très inconfortable ce qui ne donne pas le goût de rester

Excellent steak sandwich! The service was impeccable despite my peanut allergy. The young lady took this seriously and made sure all the ingredients were ok for me! I recommend 100%!
