food is so good and they have a very simple menu. staff is so sweet and environment is very cozy
I will start by explaining the billing situation. FIRST OF ALL, THEY DON'T TELL YOU BEFOREHAND THAT THEY DON'T ACCEPT PAYMENT BY CARD, ONLY CASH. SECONDLY, THE PERSON WHO SERVED US TIPPED HIMSELF WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT, WHEN WE ASKED FOR THE BILL HE SAID IT WAS 53$ AND HE TOLD US TO PAY BY CASH SO MY SISTER HAD TO GO OUT AND WITHDRAW FROM THE NEARBY ATM. WHEN SHE MADE THE PAYMENT AND ASKED FOR THE RECEIPT, HE SCRIBBLED DOWN SOMETHING QUICKLY AND AFTER WE SAW THE RECEIPT, THE PRINTED PRICE WAS 46$ AND HE HAD WRITTEN DOWN 7$ FOR HIMSELF EVEN THOUGH HE DIDN'T ASK FOR A TIP, WE WOULD'VE GIVEN HIM HAD HE ASKED . BUT HE WANTED TO BE BLATANTLY DISHONEST.As for the dining experience, the linguini and pasta with meatballs were bland, I wouldn't give the dish 5 stars. And the turmisu was old and dry so the price wasn't well deserved. The coffee I ordered was cold and unappetizing I could barely finish it.After he served us, he kept looking at us and made us feel uncomfortable the entire time my sister kept telling she couldn't be comfortable. It wasn't until people came in and he focused his attention on them. The closing hours are inaccurate. When we went back to discuss our suspicion towards the price and the scribbling on the receipt at 7:10pm which is before the closing time 8pm, the restaurant was already closed.Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The only thing to be praised is the aesthetic of the place.
We had an amazing time eating dinner here! The workers are extremely friendly and the food was very good. It was very homey and comforting inside. Be sure to bring cash because they do not accept card!
yeah it’s cash only but everything is lovely and well worth it!
It's a nice and cozy place with friendly people (owner?), but the lack of a proper menu coupled with a somewhat pushy owner really ruined our experience. The entree menu is on the front door, and the menu for everything else is on a wall. There's no description or picture for anything, and when we were asked to order by the owner (?), the first option had no meat (just pasta and pink sauce). Sure we could've asked exactly what's in each of the dishes in theory, but people don't usually do this. Also the salad was a small plate with a single slice of tomato and some lettuce, drizzled with some vinaigrette, and it cost 6 CAD. The owner just asked us if we wanted salad and we thought it might be a part of the entree. I suppose we were supposed to either memorize the menu on a wall or awkward ask the owner how much the salad is. Same thing happened with a bottle of San pellegrino sparkling water, which also cost 6 CAD. The owner asked us if we wanted sparkling water, and we thought it might be from a fountain or something, not a bottle. In general, be aware that when the owner tries to offer you something, they're trying to sell you more stuff without a clear labeled price or description. We ended up with a meatless dish, two salads, and a bottle of sparkling water, none of which we wanted, and a 49 CAD bill after tip (which the owner also pushed us to give). Unless you're familiar with this place, you should really ask clearly the cost and item description.
Good value, great food, amazing people
Place is ok.Just got shocked from the cashier tipping herself - didn’t even give me the chance to.Let me elaborate -I came here to study so I started with something light - a 9$ ice cream with egg waffles. When handed the machine - tip was already included which I’m okay with but I wasn’t okay with the fact that I wasn’t even told and the cashiers proceeded to laugh about it.I could’ve just asked for a refund but if she went through so much trouble giving me attitude and tipping herself I couldn’t even bother.Hope the extra dollar made ur day
Beyond rude. 2 dishes and a desert (extremely small portions) came to $60. They don’t tell you upfront it’s cash only. This place is a tax fraud front.
This is a sweet, hidden Italian cafe gem! With just a few menu items, everything is delicious. Excellent tomato sauces—we sampled the traditional red sauce, pink sauce, and fradiavalo (spicy) varieties. Our meals were wonderful—fresh gnocchi, good minestrone, beautifully prepared sausage, lovely cannolis & cappuccino for dessert. We had a great experience in this sweet, casual cafe.
Excellent Italian food. A traditional Italian restaurant with 2 older men working - taking order and cooking. Wonderful experience

I love this place! My mom has been going here for years, and she finally took me since we were in the area. The food is incredible, so fresh and clearly homemade! The two nonnos that work there are so cute and their service was amazing. The lunch special was only $12.95. If you want a great, quiet spot for lunch definitely go here!
Great food, simple menu with classics only. Really liked the cosy ambiance. Prices a very reasonable, the service was good .
The best small Italian restaurant in city great service and daily fresh food. A must visit
The owners not only speak italian, but also english, french, spanish and german. The food was really good, it felt like eating at home, and I loved the ambience. It's a great place, I'll go back for sure.
We got a gift card and every time we go during open hours it is closed. I went downtown 3 time for nothing. I was able to take a nice picture of the terasse.
