i’m a regular here and just had to say aside from good coffee and pastries - the staff are so sweet, kind and generous 💖 happy i live nearby

Everything was perfect in this cafe! Friendly person behind the counter, good latte, fresh bagel, made ready-made in Beaubien. Reasonable prices.

Came across this spot visiting from NY. Wonderful barista who was very knowledgeable about our coffee selections. The sandwich was nice and hot too!

It was bone-chilling wind in the streets of Montreal and I was very poorly dressed for the occasion. Even with my (thin) white sweater with so-called thermoregulatory properties and my wool coat, I was shivering with cold. A. had anticipated this, but as we walked towards the Bine, Mother and Daughter, I felt her step in a hurry.
Season-wise, we find ourselves in this strange in-between, where the pumpkin lattes are stored in the cupboard, but where it's still too early to take out the boots. No matter, we enjoyed a sweet hot chocolate, with discreet but enveloping notes, and a matchai (matcha + chai) which has the potential to please fans of both beverages, although I I personally would have liked him to express a stronger personality.
The sandwiches, of candid simplicity, have a certain “come back to it” through their quest for freshness and the accuracy of their cooking. Their size makes them perfect snacks, which is reflected in their price ($7.50 – $8.30 for the grilled cheese, $6.75 for the “big dill”). Enjoy slowly, one small bite at a time.
The atmosphere invites gentleness, with its murmurs, its hanging plants, the muffled noise of the street and the calm of its occupants. The space is intimate, welcoming, we anchor there to work, chat, sip a drink. With my good friend by my side, my mind was lodged in absolute peace.
In conclusion, La Bine is a friendly neighborhood café where the weather is always nice, June as well as the end of November.
Vegetarian options: Yes, among other things an intriguing smoked tofu sandwich which we didn't have the chance to taste
Parking: This Sunday morning, it was packed in Beaubien. By going to Saint-Vallier, we got a nice little place.
Kid-friendliness: There are snacks and pastries for every tooth.
Wheelchair accessibility: No, there are two steps and the door is narrow.
