One of the most beautiful coffee tour I’ve ever done

I discovered this place through comments on Reddit.
I was both curious to go there and discouraged by all the overly marketed choices, feeling like I was going to the Sephora of coffee.
Looking for rare gems, my husband and I bought two different kinds.
And omg, we weren't disappointed! We'll be getting our coffee there from now on 😌

After moving to Canada, I have been exploring many delicious cafes to find my favorite coffee shop. I discovered two places, and one of them is this cafe. The baristas are always friendly, and of course, the coffee is amazing. Today, I was especially touched.
I was feeling down and wanted a warm cup of coffee under the sunshine, so I revisited this place after a long time. I ordered Chocolate Pie ,two Americanos, but my card was declined. Oh my God! When I said I would do an e-transfer, the barista smiled and said he would cover it and told me come back again.
I couldn’t believe it! I’ve never met such a kind barista in Canada. I feel blessed, and now we are enjoying a wonderful coffee time.
Another story is that when my husband visited this cafe before, he asked about another coffee flavor and received a free cup. I want to give the highest score for this barista’s service mindset. His name is Jorge. If you come here, look for Jorge( little long dark brown hair and hansome with big eyes). You will find great joy in his smile and service!
Jorge. I am VERY VERY appreciate it today

Nice coffee both in the cup and as beans on the shelf. Fun with so many local roasters at the same place
Very nice experience. The smell is crazy and the coffees are amazing. The buttery shortbread with cream and jam is so good. I recommend.
Fantastic coffee. Love the smell of the roasting coffee when the wind blows it across the canal, it calls me.
Lovely experience on a summer morning.Roasters working in the background. Espresso at the tables outside. So many varieties of coffee to buy.
It's basically a warehouse where many indie roasters go to roast their beans that happens to have a small coffee stand with functional but bored service.Sure you can find maaaany bags of coffee there but to grab a cup is meh. Baristas are bored, the staff feels hovering onto other planets. Maybe it's also the roasters doing part of their deal to also take turns in serving coffee? They should work more on their coffee stand. It's a little depressing.

I had an espresso there and it was good. I paid for my espresso then I wanted to buy the same coffee as the espresso I had just had and they told me they were selling out and they gave me another kind of coffee. Unfortunately, my coffee was ground for a drip coffee maker. Also at checkout there was the tip option. I thought it was weird that you tip when you buy a packet of coffee.
Very good coffee (medium double Espresso), nice place for the area.
The cafes “le canal” are excellent
An awesome find while driving slowly on St. Patrick Street on a crazy rainy day. Despite arriving less than 10 minutes before closing, the barista was very helpful and served up a great café latte. The cookies were extremely good and there are many choices of coffee beans to buy from local cafés who roast here. All in all, a very good café to frequent in the future!
Felt a bit underwhelmed at this cafe today. Service was lacking! The Asian girl working today with the orange shirt was not very friendly and made us feel not welcome. They roast so many different beans but don’t serve any pour over. We asked for a pour over but they recommended a filter which is not the same. Filter does not allow the flavor of the coffee to come through like a pour over. They only serve 1 bean for espresso and that was mediocre. It’s a nice roasting area with lots of options for bean but that’s it!
