Caribou Gourmand - Restaurant de Terroir Québécois - Souper, Brunch et grande Terrasse

La bouffe était bonne mais quand j’ai vu une des serveuses prendre son doigt au lieu d’une spatule pour enlever le surplus de broue sur le verre de bière et deux fois, j’ai su que je ne retournerais pas à ce restaurant. Désolé

New Year's Eve menu a little disappointing, dishes too sweet - you can no longer taste the main ingredient (foie gras or char) - otherwise some dishes are ok or lack refinement. Super friendly service and atmosphere!

Had a 4 course/MTL table meal. Service was friendly and professional. Overall meal, barely a 6/10, mostly for blandness and the temperatures dishes were served at. Would not go back.

Appetizer plate delicate, 3 tiny morsels. I liked the duck (8/10) and goat cheese (7/10), but the creme brulee failed (4/10), it was sprinkled with too much sugar, which was soggy, not crystallized. I guess they failed to notice and/or forgot to 'brulee'- like a wet egg omelette.
The seafood bisque (6/10) was not creamy or smooth like a bisque but was rustic - nice but it was served tepid. I almost sent it back to have it heated but was too hungry. Served in a pretty little bowl, 2 mussels, 2 shrimp with the 'bisque' but lacked any depth of flavor.
The salmon (3/10) as the main course had zero flavour profile to speak of - plus it was undercooked and almost raw. I love sushi, so I ate it, but again, a barely warm plate. The skin was soft and grey and had a slight fishy taste - not so ok. The risotto was very pasty and salty. I told the waitress but she didn't seem to understand and did nothing about it.
My son had the Deer Burger (7/10) good but dry. He had to add quite a bit of the mayo to it. Fries with it were good.
The desserts are relatively big. My son made the observation that he'd prefer bigger mains and not so much sugar. The Raspberry mousse cloud (7/10) was v pretty, but too much overly sweet meringue. I like pure whipped cream but this had too much added sugar/filler. The maple dessert (7/10) was very creamy, similar to the cream on the Raspberry. The table next to us had the hazelnut which I think I'd have preferred.
Would likely rate higher if had our food been served warm and if there had been more flavour than just salt.

A great restaurant to discover Quebecois cooked dishes, I had the duck cannelloni as a starter and the ribs as a main course, it was delicious!

I attended my company’s Christmas party here, and it was absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere, service, and overall experience were amazing. If you’re considering this place for an event or a night out, don’t hesitate—just go! Highly recommend!

Excellent quality food at affordable prices (and it's starting to become rare). I always look forward to the annual tartiflette. In the slew of newsletters that I receive, the caribou one is the only one that I open to watch for the new menu which changes regularly.

They forgot to bring the bread. When they finally brought, we are almost finishing our plate. The bread were so cold... We ordered bison stew, salmon, and Red deer burger as a main. Deer burger was ok, but bison and salmon were mediocre.

Very good time spent with friends there on Sunday evening, the dishes were new, innovative and excellent! We would particularly like to thank the server Jessica and Arthaud for their time and kindness.

Wow wow wow - This place was an absolute gem. The service was impeccable: attentive, friendly, and sincere. We came here for the Mtl a Table event and they had a wonderfully curated menu with unique and delicious options. The atmosphere is pleasant with the rustic yet refined Canadian decor, beautiful wooden displays and ambient light, and no loud music. A 10/10 in my books. Well done!

I went there for brunch as part of Montréal à table. I took the sweet and savory plate. It was perfect and very good! I would have liked a little more pulled pork for deliciousness :

On a Friday evening, there are free tables, it is 9 p.m., the person at reception goes to two different waitresses to find out if it is possible to have a table for two, the two not discreet people say no. He comes back and tells us I don't have room. This is really taking potential customers for idiots! I will never come back that's for sure...

I recommend everything was perfect, refined cuisine service, and special mention on the “Montreal à table” menu allowing you to take an assortment of the chef’s culinary talents😋😋😋
