Shiho was super nice and very knowledgeable. We did the tea tasting and it was worth the price, the tea was amazing, the experience and explanations were great. The homemade miso soup and tofu she handmade were delicious. And the store itself is nice as well. Highly recommend

A really special experience. The tea selection is huge and the food selection is also sizeable. I hade a matcha brownie with sweet potato purée that was delicious and not too sweet. The tea was rich, complex, pleasantly bitter— almost creamy. The floral notes, peachy scent and vivid colours were so pleasing. Yes, it is more expensive than tea from a generic café but you are paying for quality, expertise, and an experience. The price is well worth it.

I had a wonderful time at Cha do raku with my friends! The food was delicious and unique, and so was the dessert. Also reasonably priced for students like us.
Before going, please know that the extra refills of hot water in your tea will double the price. This was not made known to us when ordering, as the extra hot water thermoses were placed on your table. However, our experience was fun and I thank the owners for being kind.

It was my second time there. Small space, but it adds to the relaxing environment. I’m very impressed of the huge tea selection as well as the quality. The owners are very wholesome !

I used to think I didn’t like green tea—turns out, I just hadn’t tried good quality Japanese green tea until I visited this tea house.

The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and guided me to my very first green tea that I actually loved. She also makes homemade desserts and miso, which were just as amazing as the tea. A cozy, authentic spot that completely changed how I feel about green tea!

I was surprised that the tea shop had a small cafe area inside of tea shop. Their teas are very interesting and flavorful. I would to recommend this place to my friends who are interested in Japanese teas. I would like to try their ochazuke next time, which must be authentic and tasty.

Their tea selection is huge and we ended up choosing what the owner recommended. The green tea was mind blowing. The tea is exceptional quality.

We also got 2 desserts and the complement the tea so well. One of them is rice mochi and the other is a creamy mousse cup. It feels like a little piece of Japan in Montreal. A truly amazing experience. However, seats are limited so you might have to squeeze in a little bit. Love the atmosphere, hospitality and tea!

Absolutely gorgeous Japanese tea house.
Everything on the menu is homemade from scratch by the owner & to die for.
The tea menu is amazing and they also do tea workshops on the weekends.

I like to go there to chat with a friend or on my own with a good book. 🍵

This is really tiny place, so if want to have a tea inside - better to have a reservation.

This tea salon is really a hidden gem in Montreal. The Japanese owner is so sweet and welcoming. The tea and the sweet snack were delicious.

A great and unique tea-based experience.
You get to learn how to make special teas and eat delicious food originally from the south side of Japan.

A nice and peaceful little tea shop. The choice of uncommon teas were worth it.
