This used to be the best rotisserie chicken in Montreal but they are the clearest example of shrinkflation I've come across. They raised their prices and reduced the size of their chickens drastically. I had the half chicken dinner and a coke - the half chicken was so small it was the size of a chicken breast, a handfull of fries, half a bun for $38. Not going back. So sad.
Always a nostalgic meal at Chalet Bar-B-Q, a must-visit when we return home for comforting and familiar Montreal food, along with smoked meat and bagels, of course! The decor is dated but that is what makes it so charming. Chicken is always perfectly cooked – they are the only ones in Montreal still allowed to use charcoal, and their's is red cherrywood. Great food and great service every time! It is a very quaint place and really cool to visit since it’s been around for a very long time! Nothing fancy but definitely worth visiting and enjoying the tasty food!
