I try to visit a new Haitian restaurant every time I pass by Montreal Nord, which isn't too often for me. The pricing here was bit higher than expected, but when I saw the big portion I was served it seemed more reasonable. I had my meal there and it was served in takeout containers instead of the available plates. But other than that detail the service was friendly, owners ensured that I was enjoying the meal. I went for their Chef Mak special chicken, a creation of their own which features a thicc, interesting thousand-island inspired sauce. Dish came with 3 pieces of chicken, a fat portion of creamy macaroni salad, a big pile of rice, pikliz, gravy and some plantain. The plantain was a bit dry for me but the rest of the items were awesome, particularly the macaroni salad.

It’s an incredible place for Haitian cuisine. I just tasted the best griot (super tender and savory) and riz djon djon ever!
But to be honest, everything was absolutely delicious.
My other top dishes to try : BBQ Chef Mak, Beef Pâté, macaroni (it’s the best compared to the other places) and even the Légumes is WOW!
Amazing service, super fast and friendly. You are part of the family :)

Hands down one of the heartiest, tastiest, and well balanced dishes I've had in Montreal. The service was great and even though my French was barely recognizable as French she corrected me even though she is fluent in English. The food was quick to get ready and the quality was bang on. 6 out of 5 if I could.

An absolute treat! We opted for the griot, and every element of the plate was a pure delight. The melting plantains, the tasty pasted rice, the tender and crispy griot, without forgetting the macaroni salad (the best in town 🙂), the spicy pikliz and the exquisite sauce… A real journey of flavors! A culinary experience to recommend without hesitation.
