The food was delicious and the service excellent. One of the best meals we have had on our Canadian trip

The lobster roll is the best I've ever had! I've been here twice in the past week and they are so warm and welcoming it feels like my home away from home.

Wonderful experience! The bartender was amazing as was the service and the food. Highly recommended.

Sarah

Amazing! Could not be happier. We had mushroom ravioli, scallops and walleye and every bit of it was perfect.

Our first visit to Chez Delmo in Old Montreal; we were looking for a special restaurant to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary. This establishment did not disappoint - in any way! The atmosphere was casually elegant, the service was attentive and friendly and the food was thoroughly enjoyable. We enjoyed the fresh shrimp cocktail, lovely mixed salad, wonderfully prepared wAlleye and the best fresh lobster we have ever had. You will want to try the Creme Brulee and the local favorite - a maple hot cake, served with vanilla ice cream & maple syrup. Hats off to Chef and staff, you were at the top of your game! Merci beaucoup!

I visit Montreal twice a year and despite all the choices in restaurants, I always go to Chez Delmo in Old Montreal. We never thought we could replicate the awesome experience we had 3 years ago but each time we go there, they blow us away with their service and quality of food. Last Night Alex our waiter and the support staff were amazing. Very professional, attentive and polite. It's always a pleasure to talk to the owners as well. p.s. the beef tartare and the mushroom ravioli were outstanding.

My wife and I had dinner at Chez Delmo on August 26th. It was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. We were served our first course fairly quickly but waited another 1 1/4 hours for our 2nd course. The restaurant was serving a large, very noisy group of about 12. In addition to being given priority over the remaining diners, they were so loud that we could hardly speak and we were at the other end of the restaurant. A table of four who were close by moved next to us to get away from them. The server kept telling us that the meal would come soon. He was clearly lying. He also promised comps which never materialized. We finally finished our two course meal after 2 1/4 hours and left immediately. The meal was mediocre and over priced. The service was terrible. Don't go.

I wish I could post the video of the Dover Sole “Meunière” - it is the best fish dish in the city and I’ll take my chances and say across the country.

It’s worth the price because you can’t really make this exquisite dish at home. You have it Chez Delmo where it’s always like visiting your favorite relative.

Everything is excellent on the menu. My friend wanted to try the Chowder so I went along with it… oh man was it ever good. Everything here you may have had somewhere else but they deliver a dish always a notch above. The Octopus had a discreet citrus nuance to it - so so good.

The service is on par with any Michelin Star restaurants across the ocean EVERYTIME (without the attitude); it’s not loud, and you are not rushed.

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Montreal.

There may be lots of Fish & Seafood spots in Montreal BUT There iare no place like Chez Delmo. SUBLIME A CHAQUE FOIS! This place always delivers on all fronts and is by far in my top-3 spots in the city. Everything you order here is always "next level" compared to other great fish spots. The Sole Meuniere is as addictive as any great dish can be - I need to come to the 514 a few times a year to have it. FRESH is how i describe this place. From the ingredients to the presentation - it's really an accomplishment to be this relevant after so many years in this competitive landscape. TY for a great evening - Service was next level and Benoit is always a welcoming figure - i didnt know it was my client's first visit, and he was blown away.

Everything about Chez Delmo is exactly what you’d hope for in a top-notch spot in Old Montreal. The moment you walk in, you feel the perfect blend of modern style with a touch of historic charm, it’s classy without being stuffy.

We kicked things off with the Clam Chowder and a Shrimp Cocktail. Both were fresh, flavorful, and a great start to the meal. For the mains, we went with the Seafood Linguine and the Dover Sole, and honestly, both were outstanding. The flavours were clean and well balanced, and you could tell the ingredients were top quality.

The service really stood out too friendly, attentive, and never rushed. The partnership in which the owners present themselves matches the restaurant’s brand.

Overall, Chez Delmo gave us one of those dining experiences where everything just works, and works well. Great food, great service, and a setting that makes the evening feel special. It’s definitely a place we’d go back to and recommend to anyone visiting Old Montreal.

Homard Termidor charged at $114.00 : Not seasoned and without creamy sauce or sherry; just diced up lobster topped with emantal cheese : the chef should read up on how to prepare from jeanne Benoit or Juliette Chiles!!! certainly not worth the prices. Same problem with the Clam chowder; not creamy or seasoned ; just milky! For a restaurant presenting itself as a seafood icon it was real disappointing: a much better quality control is needed from the kitchen. Not to be repeated!
