They took a reservation of like 20 people and it ruined my dad and my dinner. Way too crowded and loud for a reservation like that without shutting down the whole place

The food was good as usual , we just to go to this place quite often and yesterday was a reminder on why we stopped going …. Raoul ( at least that’s the name on the bill ) our waiter was rude . We don’t drink and when my husband ask what type of sofa they had he said anything…. He reply a crush please only to get a - those ate drinks that you find at a deppaneur- But it didn’t stop there when about to order he said to my husband why are you looking at my eyes…. It was bizarre. And this makes not want to go again

I have traveled to Portugal, and omg, this restaurant has definitely the best Portuguese food you will find in Montréal! Fresh, delicious, and authentic, you will not be disappointed. First, they serve bread and olives on the table at your arrival, then the menu is rich in authentic plates of chicken and fresh seafood, and don't forget to order a pasteis de nata for dessert with their rich coffee. The staff is extremely professional, welcoming, and helpful. The restaurant itself feels very intimate, and there is a vintage thing about the decor and layouts that remind you of an old family owned European restaurant. All in all, amazing food, great people, nice place, I highly recommend !

I go to Doval on a regular basis and believe me it has to be on your list. Their chicken is a must-try (best in town), calamari is also excellent. Friendly owner with typical Portuguese servic.
A very unpretentious place but good food for the value. It’s a small place that could use an update and they sat us in an awkward spot where the waiters were pretty much on top of us each time they went by. Make a reservation if it’s the weekend and ask for the back room to avoid sitting near the entrance during winter .

Always impresses me when a restaurant has stood the test of time. This establishment has been here for what I understand to be close to 50 years. My first visit was almost 40 years ago! This 3rd ownership group continues the fine tradition, and has been doing so for well over 20 years. The grilled spicy chicken is sublime, served with house fries and tangy mixed salad. We started it all off with grilled calamari and octopus. Compliment it with some white wine, espresso with natas, and you can't go wrong. Desfrute de sua refeição!

I usually don’t give reviews, but this place was so disappointing. I would give a zero star if I could. The side sauce was overpriced for such a small container and it tasted only of vinegar and inedible. Chicken was dry and fries tasted undercooked. Would never eat here again.
