A must do in Montréal Old Town. Vibrant, inviting, tasty, friendly, ... Not your anniversary dinner place (altough we most certainly could celebrate that here!) but an amazing place for good food with a slightly underground atmosphere.

You enter through a walk in refrigerator door. The cocktails are creative and very good. The small plates are varied a flavorful. We enjoyed the Pork Tacos and Fried Eggplant. The downstairs room opens at 8 PM Thursday - Sunday.

Love the ambiance, there is art everywhere so it's a fun dining experience, and you can actually have a conversation with your friends, I appreciate that the music is not loud. Food is super good, some plates better than others, and some a bit overpriced for the portion (like the fried eggplant for instance or the oysters). You've got to try their tartaki it's delicious! If you're looking for a fun artsy dining experience, this is your spot! (if you're vegan this isn't the place for you. It's vegetarian friendly)
Niveau de bruit varie entre modéré pour le Vandale et tranquille pour le Speakeasy. Personnel très courtois et intéressant. Nourriture excellente et qui sort de l'ordinaire. Sous forme de tapas à partager. Musique pas trop forte, il est facile d'y avoir ses conversation. L'ambiance artistique éclatée du Vandale et feutrée du speakeasy sont une bonne combinaison pour avoir 2 belles expériences au même endroit. Antoine, un des gérants est vraiment très gentil, simple et intéressant. Jay, le mixologue, fait des cocktails hors de l'ordinaire et il a su tomber dans nos goûts selon ce qu'on lui demandait. Mateo, son apprenti a aussi de grands talents. Merci pour cette superbe soirée passée en couple! Soirée parfaite!

One of most amazing meals I've ever had. Food was outstanding, the atmosphere was fun and interesting, and the service was exceptional. I would strongly recommend this experience to any foodie visiting Montreal.

For a Friday night, we thought that would be hell, but it actually was great. Service was fast, food was very tasty, good tapas portions, our waitress was nice, smily and not trying to rush us like we see in many restos around the city. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

My boyfriend and I went to dinner at The Speakeasy and everything exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and the drinks were so good that we had many! Elody our server was so kind and helpful. We will definitely be going back again on our next visit to Montreal!

I went early in the night, 6:30 or so, so it wasn't very busy. I loved the ambiance of the place, and their cocktails were very good. It is a bit pricey, but I'd say the experience was worth it. Service was solid as well.

A special shout out to our server downstairs on New Year's Eve , Élodie. She was an absolute rockstar. She serviced a full floor almost totally on her own and did so fast, accurately, and kindly. She was sweet, well versed in the drinks and food, bustled non stop from table to table and made our night incredibly enjoyable. One of the best servers we've ever had in a restaurant!
The tuna was beyond salty snd inedible and the service took forever! It was holiday week and I think they were understaffed but the prices were insanely high for how slow the service was and how salty all of the food was. My friends fish dish was also really salty. On the bright side the drinks were good! That always helps while you wait.
This was our first visit since they remodeled during the pandemic. Our issue was that service was extremely slow. It took 2 hrs for us (4 people) to get our food after ordering (without dessert). When he brought the food, the waiter acknowledged how long it took and explained that one of their kitchen staff didn't show up for work and they were dealing with a big group. However, during the long wait time he never checked in on us or asked if we wanted a refill on our initial drink order. We won't be going back.

The space is fantastically decorated , murals are stunning. Unfortunately in a city with fantastic private import wine lists and phenomenal food Vandale fell short on both counts. Oysters were the best part, delicious and briny but cod, tuna tataki and shrimp were bland and nothing to write home about. Our server was lovely.
