Pricey for the portion but delicious nonetheless! Old school diner style with great tunes.

Tried the double cheese burger. It was fine but expensive and in the end I didn't like it very much, it felt just like a brick of calories with no flavor contrast or texture contrast to me. Maybe all that cheese fusing the meat together didn't help. Maybe I'm just not really into smash burgers.

never done this before lol but save your money.
way over priced for a small salty poutine with tiny non squeaky cheese curds from the bottom of the bag. service was horrible too.

Premium old school dîner vibes where high quality well made food meet their higher than average asking prices.

Had the cheeseburger and poutine. Both were top of the line with no quality compromises.

Worth it for foodies and enjoyers of well made things.

Chez Tousignant nails that nostalgic Montreal casse-croûte vibe, right down to the retro counter and classic menu. The hamburgers and poutine are seriously delicious—comfort food done right. While the prices are a bit on the high side for what you get, the overall experience makes it worth it. A great spot when you're craving that old-school diner feel with quality eats.

Montreal has some serious smash burgers game and I must say, Chez Tousignant, is a big player, had a double cheese burger and it did not disappoint at all, from the juicy perfectly seasoned patties to the home cut fries😀
Keep up the good work guys👍👍

The people who work here clearly hate their jobs as the cashier looked miserable and so did the cook. I asked very politely and nicely for “No Sauce” in my Burger, and was told: “sorry no modifications are possible.” Lots of attitude from the cook to make things worse. Never heard of such an absurd thing in my life at a restaurant. Can’t remove sauce from a burger made on the spot. *31$ for 2 small burgers and a water bottle! Highway robbery* Expensive to eat in the dark with miserable employees and a burger that’s drenched in sauce on purpose after asking to have none. Needed 10 napkins just to scrape it off. Starting to get tired of MTL restaurants who laugh at people at this point with insane pricing and lousy service.

Went for a lovely meal late night The place was beautiful. Looks like something from the 50s

burger was absolutely delicious. Poutine was outstanding even the hotdog was the best.

The only thing that I did not like was the attitude of the girl who was taking our order she was not happy. She made a very awful face like she was not happy doing her job or not happy serving us even to huff and puff very inappropriate And because of that I will not be returning again

all they have to say is when you have first time customers entering and they’re asking questions about the food or asking for a accommodates
please don’t be giving attitude, faces and huffing and puffing it’s very unprofessional it is part of your job to serve people and give service

Chez Tousignant is a popular destination for classic burgers that deserves all the fame and hype.

The short limited menu embodies all that a classic casse-croûte represents: simple, no-frills, unpretentious food done exceptionally well in a retro setting, all made in house from the burger buns to the hotdog sausages. The burgers are simple but juicy, flavorful, and freshly served hot between pillowy soft buns toasted just enough to keep its structural integrity. The quality and freshness of the food speak for themselves.

The prices may appear intimidating considering what is served, but don't let that deter you away from giving this place the attention it deserves.

Not good for big order. Forgot a lot of things in the order. The food is not bad but not incredible. The cabbage salad is dry and little. Expensive for the quantity of the product. Homemade French fries.

Simple and flavourful , they do a killer poutine , the poutine gravy must have chicken broth , sauce does not taste salty. And fries are great too. Don’t miss it!
