This place is AMAZING! I went 3 times when in Montreal and stayed at UofM, everything on the menu was delicious in every aspect. Super crispy tonkatsu, flavorful curry, juicy meat, all the way down to lovely sauces and dressings. If you're in the area you have to go here for a great bite and an amazing atmosphere. The interior is cozy and well decorated with great service every time. Un-fussy place that is never lacking.

Needed to grab a quick bite and this spot did not disappoint! The tonkatsu is very good. I wish the fried chicken came with a dipping sauce but it is still quite tasty alone. Just a small warning, it is very cramped inside.

Overhyped: tonkatsu pork super dry, crust was good, sauce was just okay, salad definitely needs more sauce, overall bad. Who wants to eat a tonkatsu with dry pork, the main attraction?

It's just so nice to see a restaurant still offering such affordable prices for good portions. Around 13-15$, you can get yourself a bowl of rice with a type of protein. I tried their BBQ style gilled pork and it was just delightful. The meat had great flavours and it paired so well with the rice and vegetables. I do feel like the sauce served with the salad was clashing a bit with the flavours but it was still enjoyable. The service was fast and polite. Even though they were quite busy, they were still filling up our water regularly and we're quite patient. The restaurant itself was pretty small. Even though the small tables made it easier to talk to each other, I did feel a bit cramped in the restaurant because there was so little space between our table and the next one over.

One of the rarest restaurants that has maintained a very reasonable price, great food quality and satisfying portion size. Enjoyed our time getting to know Jill (sorry if spelled the name wrong) which made us laugh and treated us to a dessert. Highly recommended for any occasion, either single or with a group of friends. Definitely one of my favourite places in Montreal ❤️
