Nice little spot in downtown Montreal, food was amazing and there was so much to choose from, I would suggest to tidy up a bit the place since the space available is not a lot it’s easy to go from cozy to messy but like the vibe.

Arrived and waited to get seated which was fine.Once we sat down (7:15pm), we ordered immediately as we already knew what we wanted, a gentleman right across from us orders food 15min later (7:30pm). And a group of 4 that just came in ordered 30min later (7:45pm).I thought nothing of it. It was really busy and there were many uber and doordash orders being prioritized before the customers physically in the restaurant.They were also only 4 people working. 3 in the kitchen, and 1 taking care of all the customers.So i thought fine, they’re just a little busy, i understand, really.But then at 8pm , the guy across from us who ordered at 7:30pm, received his food after complaining, the staff member told him, they were prioritizing delivery orders.15min later, it is now 8:15pm, and the table of 4 that ordered at 7:45pm just got their food (appetizers and their meal), while we are still waiting.So i ask about my order and as to why they all got their food before us, and the first they say is that we ordered after all of them, which false because as i said, i was paying attention to when i ordered and who ordered after.And so after telling her we actually ordered before all of them, they tell us that they actually messed up the order in which they make the meals, and that’s why we aren’t getting our food yet. I’m like fine, so i kindly ask if we can get our meals to go instead as it’s already been over an hour and we’ve been sitting there waiting.They say okay— 20min pass, it’s now 8:35-8:40pm, the staff member put down the takeout bag on our table and says we can pay at the counter when we’re ready.It was pretty upsetting, there’s not real apology or compensation for messing up there, just here’s your order and pay us. Just feels so defeating when they don’t even try to seem apologetic, no here’s an extra side or comp 1 of the 3 meals, or like here’s a small discount, or a free drink, nothing, just how would you like to pay? card? okay.I used to go to this restaurant back in 2021 before all the hype and used to heavily recommend it to everyone who’d ask about where to eat in the city, but i’ve seen it so many times, after restaurants receive hype and start to get popular they just can’t keep up and just aren’t the same as they used to be. It’s sad, and i’m not saying if you go you won’t still have a good time, just unlucky that it happened to me i guess, and it just would’ve been nice if they actually seemed like they cared even a little.Totally disappointed, not sure i’ll go again, and that’s a shame really.
