This restaurant was incredible. The Gai Satay (vegan chicken skewers with peanut sauce) were amazing. and the vegan “duck” tasted delicious too!! Very good prices too.

I would be lying to anyone if I said there's a more classic vegan restaurant in Montreal. First came here in 1999, it's been on my mind ever since. I now eat here three times a week. Just the best!

We didn't book a table so we got seated at the bar, we were very ok with that, but we could see a boiling kettle just in front of us, some dishrags standing there, and the decor was not really nice over there, you didn't feel like you were in a top rated vegan restaurant.
The menus they gave us, both were in bad condition, deteriorated, and some prices were put on top of the oldest ones with stickers and pen, with not care regarding the color of the original menu, not giving a good impression.
However, the food was great! We didn't have to wait. I ordered the Kari Neua and steamed rice, which were very tasty, and the portions were great. I couldn't order a dessert after that, but will come back soon to try one.
Drinks were not great though, just "meh".

I ordered the PLA-KHING dish (steamed vegetable fish with soy sauce and ginger), and it was very delicious; I really appreciated the fresh and well-balanced flavors. The portion was adequate, which I found excellent. I would just suggest reducing the ginger a bit so it doesn't overpower the other flavors too much, but overall it was an excellent experience. Additionally, the rice was very good, and its presentation in a small straw bag was a lovely detail that conveyed a feeling of freshness to me and made me think of Thailand.
The atmosphere of the restaurant seemed very pleasant to me, warm and quiet, although it had a somewhat "empty" appearance. Maybe it lacked decoration, especially with more plants, which could give it a more welcoming touch. Additionally, the host and server were very gracious and friendly which added to the experience. I also ordered the 'Thaijito' cocktail, but it didn't really impress me. The glass was a bit small, and I would suggest replacing the artificial lemon with natural lemon juice to enhance the flavors even more.
Thanks for the experience!”
