I've been coming here for many years to get the best meals I can get for the money downtown. You'll pay a little more, but the meals are almost always spectacularly good. I eat meat and fish, and the typical meals always include one or the other, served with either rice, potatoes, and pasta. This week's delicious offering was a chicken pesto served with green beans and rice. Delicious!Their soups are the best I've had in the downtown area, and their breakfast offerings are also very good, but the downside is they stop serving them at 10:00.For me, Comptoir du Chef are the best lunches you can get downtown.Vegetarian options: Fantastic veggie black bean burgers.

Fresh and tasty with a great variety of meals and flavors that change every week, although one of the servers there is extremely rude every time. I still go for the food but I wish it was a more pleasant experience.

Super good choice of meals, they have a lot of vegetarian choice. The meals are healthy, i order 2 chicken plates and couscous salad for 30$ i feel it is a good price. And the portions are good. It is an excellent place for take out, not for dine in it is a bit small.

Nice hidden find. Small takeaway shop with everything you need for breakfast or lunch. Space to eat your heated meal at the space in the building. Very good value prices.

They missed to check expiry date on the cake. Replaced 1/4th eaten piece though.Second one wasn't too bad but fresh.

I I would just like to say, I reareally enjoy this restaurant. I have been a repeat customer for over three years, and am never disappointed. The food is amazing, and the staff are just amazing people. Samantha always makes me welcome in the morning, which means so much to me. Service is amazing, food is delicious, and I will continue being a loyal customer.

J'y mange souvent le midi car il est proche de mon travail. C'est peu être un peu cher mais c'est toujours très bon ! Les plats changent tous les jours. Le café est bon est pas cher. Le personnel est très sympathique.

The Comptoir du Chef is located downtown, within the 100 Sherbrooke Street West building. You can either enter it from outdoors from Metcalfe street or enter via the Scotia Bank building. They serve fresh panini sandwiches, hot meals and salads. Meals range from beef, to chicken to vegetarian dishes. They have a nice assortment of salads, from a Portuguese inspired salad to a Cod accompanied by mixed greens. You also have the choice of choosing your dressing upon check out. The meals are filling, however, I go once in a blue moon due to the cost of their dishes. I bought a Japanese inspired salad which contained mixed green, orange slices, tempura bits and a Japanese dressing similar to Wafu. My total was $12.65. Although the salad was delicious, the price is a bit steep for me. Like I said, I don't order from there everyday so I can spare spending that kind of money once in a while. By the way, the staff is very friendly, that's a bonus for me.
