My friend and I (we're asians and not speaking french) came in the store (oct 19th, around 12-2pm), we went straight to the gelato freezer to see how many flavours were offered cause we're craving for something freezing for the hot weather outside, then a man wearing a black chef uniform walked out and talked to us in an aggressive way that we had to come to the other counter to pay first, he made us feel like we're not gonna pay or something even though there were no one lining up behind us, and we told the cashier to give us some time to decide and the cashier was nice with us but the man in the chef uniform was so rude and kinda racist (because we're asian?) after we had paid, a group of people came in and they're white and he was so nice with them. I don't know why he gave us the attitude and service like that, we don't deserve that attitude and service as customers. Of course no one deserves to be discriminated. And yet, he ruined the whole mood and our love for Montréal. If your service is not good then I won't mention about your food.

we came in as ASIAN customers, wondering around the flavour station to decide what to order and the old man working there came and talked to us aggressively that we need to order, pay and then choose a flavour even though there was no one lining up behind us. After that, he talked so nicely with other customers that are white. Really bad experience when we were trying to order and spend money at ur store. to that man: that was not the right way to be a racist and talk to customer like that. That ruined our mood a whole vacation. Never recommend.

This was one of my favorite ice cream places in Old Port many years ago. Went back with the family today and paid almost $18 for 3 cups of 2 scoops but the scoops were so tiny it was not worth the money paid. At least if they gave full scoops it would seem reasonable. My youngest son got half a scoop. Quite disappointed.

Long line was well managed and moved quickly. Staff were energetic and friendly. Food was absolutely excellent. I had a maple latte with a desert square- a shortbread with a soft sticky maple layer that was the best thing I ate in Montreal. I keep thinking about it. My girls had fruit sorbet that was a lovely soft texture with real fruit and vibrant flavor. We would have gone back but they were closed on Mondays. It’s a must for anyone in the vieux port!

Maple ice cream was delicious. I think it's not too sweet and has a refreshing taste that suits Japanese people. It's not heavy, so it's a refreshing ice cream that you'll want to eat again.
