One, if not the only, HK style cafe in Montreal. We came for breakfast and they had some decent HK style options like noodle soups or eggs with toast. We also got their BBQ meats on rice and noodle soup. If you are craving these items, this is a good option to try.

Hidden gem for those looking for Cantonese Chinese food. The name of the shop is literally translated as Garden of Delicious Flavours.

Our group came for lunch at 2 pm on a summer Tuesday and ordered:
Roast duck (not Peking roast duck)
Soup noodles with Beef Brisket
Wonton Noodles
Congee (Rice Porridge) with Century Egg and Lean Pork.

Service was friendly - the servers spoke French, English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

the roast duck portion were generous and well seasoned. The breast and leg meat were moist.

Brisket noodles came with fresh leafy greens - soup was flavourful and clear.

Congee was surprisingly good - delicately seasoned and packed with pork; pork was smooth and not rough/dry.

Wonton soup was good too - generous portions of shrimp in the wonton.

Everything we ordered is highly recommended.

Very local Chinese cafe in Montreal China town! Food is not bad! Toilet quite clean but smelly! I suggest use chlorine to get rid of the smell

Updated review 2025: Wow this place has gone downhill, I am so sorry to say. We ordered the same Peking Duck and this time the boney carcass arrived lukewarm, and the sliced duck was actually cold. There was half the amount of do chua vegetables as last time and we had to wait a few minutes before they brought the crepe wrappers out, which were folded in half and stuck together. They forgot about our tea until we reminded them. The presentation wasn't beautiful like last time, this time duck was served on shrimp crackers and the thinly sliced duck was mostly skin and not meat.
The girl server was carrying around a chicken foot, nibbling on it as she served food which wasn't flattering. Then when it was time for her to put the do chua on our plate, I watched her put the chicken foot down and the exact same hand she used her fingers to pick the do chua out of the container to put on the plate.
BBQ Pork was good, but the Peking Duck is supposed to be the main star of the food and it was disappointing.
Please speak to your servers about not eating food while walking in the dining room and teach her to wash her hands. The only reason I am giving service two stars is because the young man bussing tables and seating us was working very hard and should get all the credit today.
We did not get sick, but it is a food violation to serve food below certain temperatures. Owners, take note of the handwashing and temperature issues because one day someone can become very sick.

Original review 2022: It was our first time trying Peking duck, the waitress was sweet and very helpful by showing us how to prepare our own wraps. They were receiving many orders and had lots of customers even though it was before dinner, which is a good sign. The duck was great - served with the skin filleted and beautifully arranged on a bed of fried vermicelli and the juicy dark meat chopped to the side. It came with thin sheets of wraps, spring onions, and pickled do chua. The har gao and siu mai are by far the largest I've seen in Chinatown and my boyfriend's new favorite as far as dumplings. We're already talking about our next visit, the menu is quite expansive with staple Beijing BBQ dishes so we're excited to try again.

Great friendly service and amazing Chinese bbq! One of the best I've had. They even gave us a little free bbq pastry when we were leaving.
