Great quality Chinese food. I came here expecting a filling meal for a low price and I got one. Don’t miss out on the sticky rice and bbq pork. Just be mindful the roasted duck has many bones which was pesky to eat but it was very fatty and juicy. Workers were very nice and were patient with me trying to e transfer since it is cash only and no seating only takeout. Definitely coming back here again. 9/10

I went to Dak Hing Barbecue because it was supposed to have the best Chinese BBQ in Montreal. The restaurant is a small hole in the wall place near Plamondon Metro station. The service is friendly and I ordered my usual soy sauce chicken along with roast pork. Not the best Chinese BBQ I have eaten, but it was pretty good for Montreal.

Let’s be clear here, this is not an eat in place it’s for take outs hence one star for atmosphere.
Service is very nice and accommodating and prompt as you are in a line.
Food is excellent and fresh.
They sell by the pound as well as lunch combos.
Let’s break this down. I’ve eaten here for years with 100% consistency. I have never been let down.
Unless you go to Chinatown or other distant old school Chinese places this one of the authentic and reasonably priced delicious places to get this type of cuisine.
Lunch time people come in non stop to get food to bring home and eat lunch - like I did in the car.
So, they have pork sausage, duck, wings, and then pork ribs and pork from various parts of the body - you select what you want.
I have tried all and they are all yummy, but for me the absolute delight is the crispy pork with that crunchy skin and tender meet. They give you a dip but it really does not need any other flavouring.
Try it and you’ll fall in love with this no nonsense place that serves honest to goodness home made food at adorable prices.

Montrealers typically say: Go to Toronto for good Chinese food. I generally agree except for Dak Hing. Everything is authentic, delicious, and even better than the best that I've had across the GTA. It's obvious everything is thoughtfully and craftfully made when they source their meat from local farms. We have never been disappointed here. Their 芋頭糕 (taro cake) for the Lunar New Year is THE best. (We order in advance - they are so popular!) We enjoy their 粽 (zongzi) during the Dragonboat festival too. Dak Hing keeps me connected to my roots and I appreciate their hard work so much.

Take out only. Absolutely delicious.
Great idea for dinner, its easy to take out and they bring out the best of each meat.
Everything is prepared with care and love. Whatever the occasion is, this take out dinner will be a hit for sure.
Needless to say I am coming back soon.
I ordered from this restaurant for the first time on uber eats because of the super high rating they have. How do you have such a high rating? Is it just my bad luck that i get the most terrible roasted pork i have ever had in ny entire life? 9 pieces of roasted pork, half of which was the bone? This is ehat you call two portions of protein in a combo? It was like ALOT OF RICE and 9 portions of roasted pork half of which was the bone. I normally dont leave reviews kike this. It only cost me about 24 or 25 dollars. But it was so bad, I had to share this.
Ordered a whole porm bbq for our Lunar New Year celebration. The meat was great, skin was crunchy. We have ordered this from Dak Hing few times. Would recommend.
The current exchange rate is around 5, but the owner didn’t even check and charged 5.25. There was no card machine, which was very inconvenient. This is a typical tax-evading business with a terrible attitude. I bought a whole roasted duck, and it tasted awful.i never buy it again.
The best Chinese bbq/charsiu in town! The meat is so well marinated, flavour is amazing, large portion size, and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
