Unfortunately i cannot recommend this restaurant to any friends or family. After having offered services to them for almost 2 years, they suddenly decided not to pay the invoices anymore and ignore me.After 5 months of awaiting payment, i have no choice but to take more serious steps to get the money owed to me…Very unprofessional and dishonest experience. Therefore do not encourage people to support this restaurant.
Excellent food and service, wait time was short and the cashier was polite and gave us great suggestions for what we should eat. I enjoyed the food and the plantains are the best I’ve had so far. Highly recommend.

If you want to come here to pick up your order, please bring your bed with you so it won't bother you while waiting for your food. Which will never get ready or after 10 years once you ordered. Hope you will enjoy your stay here. Good

I have to be honest. I got a whole chicken from DJ poulet and a whole chicken from one of the most famous Portuguese chicken spots in Montreal for a tasting test.Portion: DJ poulet chicken was significantly smaller (2/3 the size)Price: DJ poulet was 20% more expensive for just the chickenSides: DJ didnt have all the sides available but the plantain was so good! Freshly made to order. The rice was ok, meets expectations but nothing to talking about.Taste: PJ poulet wins by far. I was shocked but it was delicious. And this was unanimous for the whole group. This is my go to spot for charcoal chicken.Overall: call ahead and order your chicken and enjoy the best charcoal flavoured chicken!

DJ’s food has lots of love. Charcoal love and good spice love! All it asks from you is a bit of patience. Charcoal and Uber is challenging! The algorithms know nothing about the bit more of time it takes to pilot a charcoal stove and deliver your chicken! Enjoy their good music, sit back, you’ll taste the love on the food. Thank you guys, food was amazing.

We regularly order here and just ordered today after a while. Tastes great, love the spicy sauce. But the quantity has gone down so much. Either they are using the smallest chickens or the definition of full/half is different. It’s definitely pricey for the quantity!!
