A little expensive. Try the Flat Croissant, it was very unique. Food was great. Service was amazing, very polite. It also got a very beautiful view of the Oratory

Went there for the hype and as everyone was talking about it as an iconic montreal spot. It was a huge disappointment, especially when I saw the inflated bill... way too expensive for what if has to offer: a latte+patry 30$. The pastries were way too dry, cold and tasteless. The decoration consists on white tablecloth covered with paper on top. The view is on a car busy street.

I really don’t know why is it a Montreal icon?
None of their food taste good neither the breakfast neither the pastry neither their
Tromp l’oeils
The first time I trompe l’oeil ever it was their and I made my verdict. I thought that this is the worst dessert ever.
Then I went to the mon secret gourmand I tried their trompe loeil . I had a moment of realization that I paid $95 to try all trompe loeil at this restaurant. And they were the worst. So dont waist ur money

The food is good, but not worth the price they're selling them at. Fully price as the first time is okay, but later, I would only get their tgtg bags.
The staff give the right amount of service.

Ordered on Uber. Very pricy and not of good quality. Ingredients weren’t fresh.

Croissants were perfect, strawberry tart was great, creme brulee was solid, and the lemon tart was a little sweet for me, but the place overall is a 10/10

Right under the protective wings of the St-Joseph Oratory, is located Duc the Lorraine. Rather classy and upscale since a couple of years, it is not for the poor immaterialist followers of the saints, but rather for those baring fortune and a celestial chunky wallet. The products at the Duc are of pretty good quality, whether you come in for pastries and espressos, a tasteful breakfast or for dinner along with a fine selection of wines and liquors. Mind you it is obvious the venue makes a statement by keeping the prices high and wearing the black Nespresso-like outfit, attracting thus the gentrification of the neighborhood while for sure keeping at bay more common folks. Although the dining room may look way too small for the such refine and well-designed showcases you get from all angles, this changes for the best during summertime as the outdoor terrace expands the seating area. You can also find more seating at the small adjacent park. For harsher times, an indoor stay by the bay window will provide much sunshine in the warmth of the dining room. All in all, it seems the Duc is getting ready to distance itself from other venues in the neighborhood, and with good reasons. Hopefully, the future will bring good fortune, and who knows maybe a franchise in Westmount !
