Food is authentic but service and quality is below average. We went for dinner and my boyfriend ordered a chicken dish and received only 1 Drumstick, no gravy with it and very small amount of dry vegetarian dish to go with for price of $13+. Also, part of our food was really cold and some barely warm. My dish was good in terms of quantity but same issue, it was just slightly warm and became cold in 2 mins. I love trying food from different countries in Africa because I am also from there but I was really disappointed here for the second time. I wouldn’t recommend this place.I would highly recommend Restaurant Nakfa!

The food is amazing!If you are unfamiliar, imagine eating communally from a shared plate ...all the dishes together on a soft, spongy bread (similar to a Mysore dosa). Figure thirty bucks each.Go with three good friends, expect to be there for a couple hours, and for some reason there is no mobile tower coverage there. WORTH IT

The restaurant is nice, the atmosphere is family but unfortunately our experience was not the best. We arrived early, only 2 tables were occupied and the food was served 1.5 hours later. It's very good and truly "homemade" but the dishes are a little expensive for the quantity served. Maybe a little music in the background would be more friendly. You also have to pay in cash only and this is not necessarily clear when you arrive. The staff is friendly but the service leaves a little to be desired.

Decided to try this out since it's in the neighborhood, and I like supporting local businesses.Also because the last Ethiopian restaurant I tried was a bit disappointing to say the least.In short, the food here was the BOMB dot com!!Bursting with flavors, and just the right portions, laid out on freshly-made injera.Sure: the place is not the fanciest, and the service is a bit slow (expect at least a 30-minute wait for your food).It's a mom and pop shop in its truest form; Mom and Pop (owners) are the only 2 employees I saw.But once you take your first bite, everything is forgiven.Definitely going back.Soon.And again.And again...

They will bring you a large circular plate full of rich flavor with the soft and spongy injera which will be enough to scoop up your entire plate. You can bring your own wine here, if that’s something you like.

This was easily the best restaurant I’ve been to in Montreal by far. The food is absolutely amazing and so flavorful and the owners are the kindest people ever.
