The food is beyond delicious. However, the lack of respect from some members of staff is very insulting. She's just an employee, but it's shocking that the owners aren't taking action given such behavior.
Update** The owner of the bakery addressed the situation well, and quickly. The difference in service is also visible! Thank you Flour and Vanilla 💗

A beautiful atmosphere of bakers at work (the bread and croissants are made in front of us) and above all "perfect" croissants.

I recently visited FARINE & VANILLE and was blown away by their service and delicious breakfast offerings. I’m not usually one for sweets, but their hazelnut and chocolate chip cookie was absolutely irresistible. The croissants were perfectly flaky and buttery, truly some of the best I’ve had. Their vanilla and almond milk lattes were also amazing, smooth and full of flavor, making it a delightful start to the day. The friendly, attentive service added to the wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend FARINE & VANILLE if you’re looking for a memorable breakfast spot with a top-notch pastry selection!

Local pastries with ingredients sources from Quebec. I ordered the vanilla knot and cinnamon roll and both were so good! Perfectly sweet, soft texture, but not too soft and looked amazing. They also have coffee here and some tables to work as well. I wish everything they sold was only local things but that would mean no vanilla so I get it.

Last Saturday, I stopped at the Vanille et Farine café for a bathroom break, being six months pregnant and facing frequent needs. Unfortunately, the welcome I received fell far short of the minimum expectations of courtesy. I was told, with a smile, that the toilets were reserved for customers. So I clarified the urgency of my situation due to my pregnancy, but the waiter reiterated that the toilets were exclusively for customers and suggested that I use a public toilet nearby.
This experience seemed to me not only inhumane, but also unreasonable. It doesn't take a business expert to understand that a policy must be applied with discernment, especially in special situations like this.
I am extremely disappointed by the lack of consideration and I have no intention of returning to this establishment.
It is also important to know that it is prohibited to refuse a pregnant woman access to the toilet.

Every time I come to Montreal I make sure to visit Farine & Vanille. Relaxed, cozy atmosphere, super friendly staff, and THE BEST croissants, pastries, and breads I’ve ever eaten. The multigrain twist and bread pudding are my favorites, but everything here is amazingly delicious. I usually buy a bunch to bring back home and freeze too - so I can enjoy the goodness with my friends and family.

I love me some chocolatines, but Farine & Vanille is top notch! Buttery, melt-in-your-mouth goodness, and good ratio on chocolate in the pastry! Don't skip on this place! Also, tax-free if you get 6 or more pastries.

Great place to enjoy delicious pastries and coffee!!! The only downside would be to add a few cushions on the bench!!

I have been enjoying the breads and pastries here for a while but today my experience got taken up a level !
Their Sourdough Cheese loaf is simply sublime . Maybe the best I’ve ever tasted with loads of cheese and with a super texture.
In a city filled with corporate bakeries pretending to be a “special harvest” … Farine & Vanille is the real deal and worth the trip !
