I have been to this restaurant several times during the past year. On previous occasions I would have given them a 5 star rating for the service and food. This time I cannot with good conscience do the same. The food is excellent and our server was great. Beware that there are a couple of seats around the bar and cooking stations and take away from the food and service. These seats make you feel like you are eating at a casse croute. They seated us behind a screen. I have sat where there was at least a plexiglass where you can see what is happening but these 2 seats for. Dinner that is between 260-300$ is not acceptable.

Very Disappointed on multiple levels given the reviews. Food - nothing would be considered tasty or flavorful. Sushi seemed appropriate for supermarket grade. Toro was more akami than toro, more red than fatty tuna. Tofu underwhelming. Short ribs I've made better at home. Tamago was good. Udon acceptable but I expected a soup udon instead of more stir fry. Chicken wasn't that tender or juicy. Ran out of duck and one of the desserts. Service - while everyone was friendly, the attention was lacking. Had to flag down multiple times to ask for water, tea and bill. Skipped on dessert because of inability of find any server and decided to just get out. Atmosphere - this is a place to chill if you're young and want to seem hip. Low light. Music appropriate for the bohemian vibe. Too cool to care attitude. I didn't like it and prefer they spend more time on the food and service. Everyone was under age 35 and hipster.

Very unique japanese reataurant. There were some sushi and sashimis on the menu, but I opted to go with items I didn't usually see on typical Japanese menus. First off, I went through the wrong door, the side door instead of the front door. Not sure how I missed it. I saw the chinese words over the main door and didn't think that it was the right restaurant. The waitstaff was nice enough not to make me go through the front door again. My waitress was so warm and friendly. Went through some recommendations. I ended up getting the recommended grilled miso aged duck. I got the marinated veggies, and chicken karage. I topped it all of with creme caramel au matcha. The duck was so well executed. Perfectly charred with a thin black layer on the fat side of the duck. You can taste the smokiness from the char. The chef timestakingly grilling each duck in front of the bar crowd. The chicken karage was delicious. Juicy and full of flavor. The white dipping sauce was a good compliment. The highlight of the night had to be the dessert. I was very full after my 3 small plates and a drink, but was able to finish this pudding like dessert with ease. It was light and not too sweet. The match flavor did come through but did not overpower. The sweetened strawberries complemented the dessert well. Service was great my water was never empty for more than 10 seconds. I'd like to try their sashimi next time. Or tuna tataki. The chefs really take their time dressing each dish. Really enjoyed the experience and the food.

Nice sushi restaurant ? a little over priced in my opinion. It was so very hyped that I was expecting something over the top. I must say that I was a little disappointed. Not to say that the food or overall experience was not good as it was good just not exceptional. If you are in the area it's definitely a nice spot to check out but I would say the place will make my top 10 or anything, I am a huge sushi snob do so unless you are like me you might not notice but for the price I have had better sushi and Japanese food ?. I didn't get a drink my friends did and found them ok but nothing to write home about so good but a bit too pricey for what it offers in our opinion ? ? ?. It's a relatively nice tapas menu with generous portions so pretty happy about that. The parking in this area is also not easy so I suggest going by metro as it's literally across the street.
