Food is mid at best and that’s being generous! More so the service is absolutely garbage. Asked for utensils and they’re like “it’s here” you can grab it yourself. On the way out they were also rude af when confronted about their service. Much much better Asian/chinese food out there. Never would go here again and don’t recommend anyone else to go. Need a lesson in customer service. I will say they have larger servings though and decent-ish food.
Went there and got hot and sour soup, general tao chicken and shrimp fried rice. Service was terrible, atmosphere was bad and food was barely decent. Won’t go again. Do not recommend
Treat customers like dogs lol
Consistently fast and friendly service! And really good food.
It was DELICIOUS
I ordered food with you. You charge my credit card $63 from Uber. I never got the food because I canceled it. Because the drivers were not picking it up And I will never order from the store again.
Ordered the pineapple chicken. The picture of it is cold so doesn’t do it justice (I ate it the day after I ordered it). IT WAS AMAZING. It’s even better than general tao, or at least it gives general tao a run for it’s money.. Loved it, a delicacy.
The server kept commenting on the quantity of food we were ordering (a very normal quantity for 4 people who wanted to try a bunch of things), which was both annoying and disrespectful. Every time she brought food she would make a snarky comment about how much it was… The food was acceptable, but those comments weren’t.
this place needs a sanitary check. the toilets are NASTY.
The food is subpar. service very slow
Worst service experienced in all of Montreal's restaurants. Waited 2hrs for our food. Asked water 5 times and ended up having to go grab it ourselves. We saw a huge hair in the bol of soup served. Waiter just took away the plate after serving the soup in smaller bols. Had to go get extra ustensils and plates as needed. Was forced to pay 15% tips on a 600$ bill for the worst service for a birthday celebration. When ee complained they said they were understaffed and it wasnt there fault. But the restaursnt was half empty and we had reserved for 2 tables. Planning on their side was the issue and we shouldnt be force to tip for that. We won't be going there anymore

Service is one of the worst I’ve experience!!! Took more than 2 hours to get our food! In the end the food is mid and overpriced. We asked 5 times for water, in the end, we took it ourselves. There’s so many good places and way better than Food Lam that you get go!
Nice place for dim sum ? in Montreal instead going down to Chinatown ..lots of parking spaces..good choices of menu options but bathroom needs major updates

This place used to be good but it has gone downhill in every single aspect.
We had an event and pre booked a couple of tables and were told a 18% tipping fee would apply to the final bill since the servers would be waiting a big group and they would decorate the venue for us. We agreed to it since we’re expecting nice service but this place is so understaffed and run down, it ended up being a mistake to hold a banquet there.
The waiters only brought the food to the tables and did not bother with us for the rest of the night, if we needed extra napkins, ustensiles, etc, we would ask the waiters but ended up having to get it ourselves.
The dishes had so little protein in them it was clear that they were cutting out as much as they could.
The bathrooms were disgusting and no sink to wash our hands.
The decorations were only red table clothes instead of white ones…
I do not recommend and suggests to avoid this place at all cost.
They lost a couple of customers for good after that event.

Excellent Szechuan food, delicious general Tao. Huge portions, a combo dinner for two can almost feed four! We go mostly for the dim sum, delish

This was hands down the worst dining experience of my life. From the moment I walked in, the waiter looked shocked to see a customer. I even had to ask if they were open because she seemed so confused, and her response was, “Yea, don’t you see customers?” (I didn’t).
Then came the real nightmare. They were feeding vegetarians meat. When the diners realized, they asked for new food, but the waiter refused, yelled at them, and wouldn’t bring a manager—probably because they don’t have one. She even started yelling at them as if it was their fault!
I ordered lo mein and sesame chicken. Whatever meat that was on my plate, I guarantee it wasn’t chicken. In my 20 years on this planet, I’ve never tasted anything so nasty and suspicious. The lo mein? It was like someone boiled ramen with 50 cups of water and a single seasoning packet.
When it was time for the bill, she handed us a crumpled-up piece of paper and told us we had to pay cash. Fine. So we paid. While we were still eating, she came back and demanded a tip. We were planning to tip when we finished, but she insisted on some made-up minimum tip requirement! I’m almost positive this place is committing tax fraud. And after seeing the state of their place, they probably bribed their way through the health inspection too.
I asked where the bathroom was, and she said, “It’s over there, can’t you see?” I walked in and found unflushed toilets, no running water, wires hanging out of the wall where sinks should have been. It looked like something out of a horror movie, not a restaurant. Attached is a picture of how much food we had left when we left. (all of it)
This place shouldn’t even be open.
