You just know the food will be excellent if there's an Argentinian grill displayed in the center of the restaurant. Everything was so original and enjoyable to devour.

I don’t think I can say enough good things about this place.
I have eaten at Michelin star restaurants all around the world. A lot of them are generally tasting menus. Which I do believe foxy may offer. However, we chose the Comptoir chef seating. Which means we got to sit at the counter and watch the chefs in action it was such an amazing experience.
When you first walked into the restaurant, you can smell the wood because they cook everything over wood and it is such an amazing smell. It sets you up for a great experience right from the beginning.
We sat at the counter as I mentioned. At first, I was thinking while this counter is awfully tiny. How is this going to work. But I do find that the servers staggered the food and placed everything precariously in a way that made it all work. So yes, it’s a small space but it worked just fine.
We ordered a bunch of items to share between the group. We started with the Scallop Crudo and the feta and pita. I personally loved the scallops more than the pita, but my coworkers loved the pita better. Then we moved on to The Little gem salad and the Capelletti pasta. Both were fantastic. Last we had maitake mushrooms and cod. The mushrooms were a meter event for me! I’ve obsessed with mushrooms, and this was absolutely incredible.
The server came by and asked if we wanted dessert. We decided to have oysters and carrots as our dessert. Lol we saw the chefs making them and they just looked so incredible that we couldn’t resist.
This is going to sound really strange, but those carrots were really one of the highlights for me. I can’t explain it. They were just so incredibly flavorful and it was something I will think about for a long time.
The only negative for me is that I didn’t really love the wine selection that the server suggested. However, wine is such a personal preference that it’s not really his fault. It just it wasn’t for me.
Major shout out to Jenna. She was manning the oven closest to us. And she was doing everything with a smile. She was explaining the process to us. She was doing such an incredible job. She made the experience even more fun.
I will 100% come back here when I am back in Montreal.

I had a wonderful experience at foxy.
The food was incredible. Every single dish was full of flavour and it’s clear that they put a lot of thought into the menu.
Service was incredible, every time a new plate came to our table the server explained what was in it.
The atmosphere is also incredible, they have an open air kitchen where you can see the cooks working.

Foxy is truly a special restaurant, world class in every regard. From the impeccable table service by our friendly and attentive server Martine, to the incredible well-deserved Michelin rated cocktails by Sabrina, our experience was by far the best we've had in all of Montreal! Each and every dish is sourced locally, with immaculate attention to detail and you can truly taste the difference as each is kissed with the love of the wood fire. Every dish was truly perfection! I highly recommend the whole fish char if it's available. Also, order the New Delhi cocktail, it will be one of the best you've ever had.
#1 restaurant in Montreal, hands down!

Stunning room, great service and delicious food. We were very happy with our meal at Foxy. And it was super cool to watch the chefs cook it on live fire.

Sleek restaurant serving delicious food. We had a great experience last night, with tasty food, despite the relatively small portions (not the fish). We enjoyed every dish, only critic the tuna tartar was a bit salty. We also had the flatbread and the shiitake mushrooms, both delicious. The white negroni was perfect too. Perhaps too drinkable. Atmosphere was refined and chill, service was attentive.

Definitely advise sitting at the chef’s counter - so fun to see all the dishes go into the wood fire stove and all the artful presentations by the kitchen staff
Must order feta and pita and the Giuseppe’s Garden cocktail. Shishito peppers were also great

One of the best meals we had in Montreal, and we particularly enjoyed the Bluefin Tartare, Maitake, and Kohlrabi. The sauce used for the Kohlrabi had a nice spicy punch which was really nice. The Grassfed Angus Beef was juicy and tender too!
Wanted to thank our server — Bruno, for being so welcoming and helpful! He was also very knowledgeable in explaining the menu and recommending the wines to pair with our food.
Stunningly delicious family style food. The whole table loved every bite from the range of dishes ordered. Greatest hits of the night were the duck, the bluefin tuna tartare and the olive oil cake for dessert.
Service and restaurant vibe was great and we will come back to Montreal just to eat here again.

Great service, the food is well seasoned, but overrated considering the price.
We ordered a fish main course and a pork main course.
The portion isn't very big.
I think the fish needed a side dish.
The pork was excellent.
Don't expect to come and spend less than $150.
To leave 100% satisfied, you'll need to order an appetizer, main course, and dessert.
