New location on Papineau, near the corner of Beaubien.
France is the owner and cook with her mother Denise. They are very nice ladies and are still in the process off setting up their new location.
I walk by everyday as I run a business nearby and we weren't sure if they were open.
I tried the griot with rice and salad and France offered me some Bouillon to try.
OMG!!! The Bouillon was absolutely delicious. The flavors were well balanced and the sauce nice and thick...
The griot was fresh, crispy and tender. The rice with beans was tasty and the gravy sauce was nice and thick.
The salad was just some green leaf lettuce and could be improved.
We passed the tray and bowl around for a few of us to try (we were all curious about the new restaurant) and we were all impressed . One of us went to buy a whole tray of the Bouillon it was so good.
The space needs alot of love and care but we are happy to have a new small business in the area that offers great food.
We will definitely be regulars and sharing our experience with our clients...

Don’t bother if you coming from too good to go, I only decided to give it a chance when I saw the high reviews, but It seems like it was a marketing ploy. I went there two times in a row, First time didn’t like what I got.. so I went back next day to discover, but also she gave me the same thing.. white rice from the bottom of the pot with two spoon of gravy aside, I asked her Is this worth $21?! Because it’s says so in the app but she didn’t liked my question, and answered with attitud.. I mean Come on!!! It doesn’t even worth what I paid for.. 8$ for crispy white bottom rice and some gravy!! Any way Some businesses really should take TGTG customers seriously! It’s my way to try new restaurants before being a regular customer, so even out of the app don’t think that I will be back to try the rest of their menu.

I got a Too Good to Go App meal from here and it was phenomenal. Plus the lady was very nice and bright and she just made my day. I got some kind of a Braised beef dish and it is out of this world. I highly recommend this place and thank you for making my trip a little brighter. God bless you!
Lalo de France Resto & bar is worth a detour. The taste is and always remains authentic. A real delight!

Insufficient quantity for the price... I paid $8.04, but the surprise basket should have had a value of $21. When I saw the dish, I knew it wasn't worth $21. She told me that this griot dish costs $12 as normal, so clearly this restaurant does not meet the expectations of the principle of the application. The customer service is very bad, she was arrogant with me when I wanted to explain the principle of the application to her. I won't go back there again.
