I came to this place expecting some nice Belgian style fries, however that is not what i got when i ordered fries, instead i got some soggy, bland fries you usually would get anywhere else. and it was 10$ too.

I think that my overall experience would have been better if i had my food on a sunny day. I had the small classic poutine. The server took my order promptly. I like the gravy is not too salty and the cheese curb was fresh. I will go back for more other choices.

Listen to the reviews. I used to love frites alors but something is off here. I was not offered a menu. No prices listed anywhere visible. The fries were bathed in the worst tasting oil I’ve ever had. It’s honestly shocking. Vibe inside feels hostile. I ordered a large poutine and it was 25$. I wanted to give it a chance but I will not return.

Food was way below average and the prices don’t make any sense. They charge 13$ + txs for 2 little pieces of fried chicken … total ripoff. Won’t ever step a foot in that place ever again even if i live close by. Fries are not that great either so i suggest for your belly and your wallet to simply avoid this place. On top of that they give you an attitude when you step in there .. just an overall very bad experience.
One of the worst customer service I’ve ever received! We were forced to leave the terrace because we had a coffee from an other establishment even though we bought their 20$ poutine the size of a juice box. Also, the terrace was completely empty and we were the only customers at the restaurant. She was extremely rude I do recommend this place to anyone.

I usually like Frites Alors, but sadly the food at this location is consistently disappointing. I've been several times since it's currently the one closest to me and keep hoping that it will get better. Alas, the fries are always soggy and oily, and when I tried a burger and fries instead of my usual poutine, the patty was so dry and one side of the bun was hard and dry. And for close to $20! Most disappointing, there is one pretty rude staff person. I don't say that lightly because food service is hard, and I'm not looking for sunshine and rainbows, but the attitude has really surprised me a couple times. Wish I could be leaving a better review.

i live in the area and come here often, came with a visiting anglo friend so we both spoke in english, rude staff have no tolerance for anglos, speaking loudly in french about us because they think there is no chance i can understand them. i am your neighbor yet you treat me like this because i simply ask for an english menu for me and my friend who is just visiting montreal. i won't be returning to this location. the girls working thursday evening feb 22nd were so rude, complete and total arrogance. if there were one other french speaking person in the restaurant i know you would not have behaved this way because you would have knowingly embarrassed yourselves. you are hateful losers for no good reason. you are the type of people who ruin this beautiful city. i never write reviews like this because i have infinite patience and love for service workers but i don't for people like you who think you're better than others. it's a fries and hamburger store. get over yourselves.
