Frite Alors! - St-Laurent

The quality of the fries, which seemed to be frozen and pre-fried, didn't justify the $15 poutine. This, along with the restaurant's appearance, may explain the lack of business

What a bad experience! The server is non-competitive! When our plates arrived we didn't have any utensils and I had to get up to get the waiter's attention to ask for some. He went back to the kitchen to do his things. After a while, he came back with some utensils which he "put" on the table as if "just deal with that". The utensils were dirty, I had to get up to bring them back to him and rather than telling me about them, he simply wiped them with a paper towel. So, you can rename your business “Freak So”.

When we entered, the place was empty and full of smoke, few minutes later the employee arrived without rushing to welcome us, and when we asked why there was smoke he said that there was no customer so it turned of the fan. Then he left to the kitchen without placing us, so we left... Definitely not the best "frites alors", usually it's a good restaurant... Probably an understaff/undertrained day.

It used to be a safe bet for poutines, but it took quite a hit.

The fries were dry and cold, so was the sauce. It honestly looked like frozen McCain fries. I would be ashamed in their place to serve that. (My partner's fries were hot, even if not better)

We had to ask twice for water, and it tasted like dish soap.

The menu was only in English and there was no way to get another one, those at the other tables were all in English too.

No service, and the restaurant was empty.

Really disappointing, the word is weak.

We will absolutely never go back there again.

What a shame! Order placed with Uber eat Saturday evening. The Berger burger contained no goat cheese and a mini piece of bacon. The steak was rock hard and the fries were inedible...cold and hard. What a big disappointment! We were fans of Frites So but that was the last time. Avoid!

Belgians passing through Montreal we had to taste a poutine without compromising on the fries! It's a success, we'll try to pass again before crossing the ocean again!

It's a good location for a terrasse, the store is large and in a historic building.

We had poutine (merguez sausage and onions) and a bacon burger combo. Both were great for a casual bite. Their aioli sauce is heavy in garlic. The fries were good (not great but decent!). The burger has a nice seed bun.

If you want a clean classic Quebec poutine you can't go wrong with frites alors

The server really didn't give great service though. She stopped by zero times through the meal. And got mad when we tried to order.
