Nothing great about the food. Pizza sauce was pretty much just raw tomato, toppings were sparse. Actually, taste was bland. Not worth the money, left still hungry.

Food was nice, got there just before it filled up, service was a little slow due to the amount of people there.

Last night we went to Gema, and we took Giovanni, Pizza du pêche, and margarita. Overall, I would say the pizzas were good and authentic, but price-wise, a bit high. Also, for dessert, I can give a 5-star rating to their ice cream 😋. Just let you know, don't go without reservations because the place is usually packed!

I didn't understand why this restaurant prefers to fill the seats in the patio first before the inside. It was a hot sunny day and while we wanted to sit inside, the waitress said that no seats were available. We asked if there was a private event and there wasn't. Pizza was mediocre and crust was burnt. They should really invest the time in fine craftsmanship of making pizza. While the green salad was fresh, it was overpriced for the quantity of food served.

Gema was my place for many years, my go to. I left the neighborhood a little while back and craved a visit. Oh how things have changed ! Unpleansant and unmannered staff, very long wait time for food, the appetizers were not good (suppli & salad), the pizza were watery and no check-in at any point from our waiter which is surprising as we both would have ordered a second glass of wine. Other tables seemed to agree as I heard many complaints. This place was a gem … and, very unfortunately, it lost its lust.

The service was disappointing. The welcome and overall customer care left much to be desired. Despite the restaurant being quite empty, our reservation was placed right next to the bathrooms. The waitress was not very friendly.
I ordered the pizza of the month. Only a couple of minutes before serving, the waitress informed me they were out of prosciutto. Had I known earlier, I would not have chosen this pizza. She offered to replace it with another type of meat, but it felt like I didn’t really have the option to refuse. The price was not adjusted, even though the replacement was of lower quality.
The wait time was very long—about an hour just for our pizzas. On top of that, my partner didn’t even receive the correct pizza. Overall, the service was poor and definitely not worth the suggested 18% tip. Honestly, it seems like a better idea to order a takeout pizza than to dine in.

Extra long wait and we arrived before lunch rush just for one pizza. Pizza served on the « cooler » end like it had been waiting to be served. Extra oily.

Stopped in for a bite, no reservations. They were able to squeeze us in. Ordered their pizza of the month: thin crust with pesto, micro arugula, prosciutto, burrata, and carmalized peaches. So tasty we ordered another pizza! 2nd one had prosciutto, melted leaks, buratta. Also delicious. Staff was friendly and efficient. For drinks we had espresso martinis, amoretto sour and two types of wine. All marvelous and the amoretto sour was the best I had so far on our vacation. For dessert, pistachio gelato with roasted peanuts. My wife thought she was in heaven. The server was wonderful and treated us as though we were family.

Every time I give this restaurant another try it disappoints. No attention to detail and very inattentive staff. Tonight we sent back half a pizza that had a hair inside the ingredients and they did nothing to make it right, they even had the nerve to tell us they can’t give a discount (what an insult) for that (even though they did it!) and offered an ice cream which we refused, I paid the full bill (not to make a scene) and left. Very unprofessional and poorly handled once again as it’s not the first time they screw up. I hope Stefano & Michael know how their staff are and clients are treated this way!

Cute cozy atmosphere, simple but good menu — fritto misto and octopus salad were dynamite — more vegan options (cashew cheese or vegan cheese) would be better to make more dynamic for those with dairy allergy or vegan preference. Excellent service, very kind staff and attentive. Will be back!

This was our first and definitely last time at Gema Pizzeria. The service was terrible. The waiter simply handed us the menu and told us he wouldn’t serve us at the table, so we had to place our order at the window. What makes no sense is that he served other customers at the outside tables and even brought them dishes that weren’t pizza, while we were only given a pizza-only menu.

To make matters worse, the pizza was overpriced and had almost no toppings. Very disappointing experience. 🤷🏻‍♀️
