The food here was truly amazing. We had the raw halibut which was similar to a ceviche, the muscles with the salsa which were my favourite, pork and beef skewers, as well as three different salads, the green mint bean salad, the salad with mixed greens, as well as the zucchini salad. We also had the grilled arctic char and the lobster risotto. The risotto portion, I expected to be larger esp as a main, but with all the food we had, we were full.

Lovely staff explain the menu thoughtfully. Not your typical pizza and pasta Italian spot. More niche selection from regions in Italy. Try the skewers! Really nice change from the usual!

The interior is very pretty + accessible with parking. Food is good, however, the waiter was very unprofessional. He made continuous errors with our bill and was very condescending - when I asked to correct it.

Great food and great service. The price for the quality of the food is more than worth it. Gia is definitely at the top of my list of restaurants to go to for special occasions now.

I have had the pleasure of delivering restaurant equipment to this restaurant on several occasions. You could say that I have visited A LOT of restaurants. Of course, the food here is fabulous and delicious. I only got to taste the best chicken sandwich I think I’ve ever eaten, which was offered to me for free by Janice after I finished setting up the new refrigerator in the kitchen. The bag had an equally decadent chocolate chip cookie.

What I really want you to know about this place is how amazing the people are who work here. Every person I have come into contact with has treated me with kindness, respect and love. Even the guy who scratches the cheques gave me a warm hello when he arrived.

This is an absolutely mind boggling combination of ‘ways of being’ for a restaurant you can only get to around the orange cones, through the parking lot, behind the Home Depot just next to the autoroute!

Something AMAZING is going on here! The site is an oasis in the cement and asphalt jungle that is St-Henri. If you appreciate excellence in service and a passion for the culinary arts Janice and her team stand at the ready to treat you to a delicious meal and some fabulous wine.

Jay the equipment guy.

We had a great night at Gia Vin et Grill! We sat at the bar, and although it took a bit of time to get our food, it was well worth the wait. We ordered the pici al ragu and the chicken breast—both were absolutely delicious. Portions were decent for two girls, though considering the higher price point, a little more generosity wouldn’t hurt (that said, the quality really delivered).

The atmosphere was super warm and social—we ended up chatting with both the staff and other guests around the bar, which made the night even more enjoyable. The only small downside was the bar stools not having any back support, but honestly, the good vibes made up for it.

There was a bit of confusion when we arrived since it looked like there was an event going on, and it wasn't immediately clear where to sit. But once an employee greeted us, everything flowed smoothly.

Definitely coming back to try more off the menu—already excited for the next visit!

Food is perfectly executed, wine list is extensive and the staff can really talk to pairings and expected notes from the wine. A must try if you're in the area

I was extremely surprised and pleased that the restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food was great - as good as at the best places I ate in Tuscany while I was there. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I recently celebrated my birthday at this restaurant with a group of four. Despite having an 8:00 PM reservation, we were not seated promptly and had to wait a considerable amount of time.

The service throughout the evening was extremely poor. It took nearly 30 minutes for a server to approach our table, and when he finally did, he appeared visibly annoyed and overwhelmed by the crowd.

We ordered a substantial amount of food, and while it was decent, it was far from impressive — particularly given the final bill was over $1,000. In all my years of dining out, I have never been charged for bread when ordering pasta. It’s truly shameful. To make matters worse, no pepper or cheese was even offered with the pasta dishes.

The desserts were terrible, and the espresso was worse. Honestly, the coffee tasted so bad that even dirty water from a Nespresso tray would have been an improvement. I’m convinced the inventor of espresso would be rolling in his grave after tasting what was served.

Since it was a birthday celebration, we requested a dessert with a candle for the guest of honor. Shockingly, the server informed us that unless the birthday person ordered a dessert, no candle would be provided — a level of pettiness hard to comprehend after spending over $1,000.

There was no sense of hospitality, no complimentary gesture like a birthday shot or dessert — something most restaurants happily offer to show appreciation for their guests.

Overall, the food was mediocre, and the service was virtually nonexistent. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially for special occasions.
