I stumbled upon Gryphon Bakery in Montreal just yesterday and had such a heartwarming experience that I felt compelled to leave a review. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the most wonderful lady, warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. Truly, one of the nicest people I’ve met in a long time. Not only did she welcome me with genuine kindness, but she also gifted me some free scones, which were absolutely delicious, seriously, they melted in my mouth.
The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the pastries were fresh and full of flavor, and the service? Simply unforgettable. It’s rare to come across a place that feels this personal and thoughtfully run. It truly felt like stepping back into the good old days, when people took the time to connect and hospitality came from the heart.

Such a cute place! Was greeted right away by the sweetest lady who gifted me a mini scone because it was a visit to Montreal for me. She helped me pick some sweet treats for a friend and we had some lovely, friendly chats. And to boot, they were amazing! Must get the scones, shortbreads, and pecan shortbread.

I went in for the first time today and the lady at the counter gave my son and I a free scone, it was the best scone ever. I bought a lemon loaf and that was just as delicious.I’ve now been dreaming of those scones and can’t wait to go buy more.The lady at the counter was also super friendly.Great place.

Love this bakery! It was my first time there today, and even though it is small you can tell that they put their all into the products that they sell. All their products are made on site and frozen, so you can't get any more fresh than that. The staff were welcoming, helpful and overall very nice, and they helped me find the scones that I was looking for. (Btw best frozen scones on the island!) I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves scones!
