“Great food and excellent service. The staff were kind and provided detailed explanations, making me feel very welcome.”

One of my favorites bakeries in Montreal and probably of all the Mile End neighborhood. Every single of their baked goods are fresh, prepared with love, generous and very tasty. The champignon is their most famous seller but I have a soft spot for their pudding au pain sucré, chocolate chip cookie and lemon cake. I haven't tried everything but there's always a good excuse to come back.

The unfortunate thing is I was actually most excited about this place when visiting MTL. I heard such great things from a friend and I walked over 30 mins to find it. This is sadly an example of more is less, and overproduction = lower quality. The pastries feel very subpar and bland. Almost as if they are making enough to feed the abundance of people coming into the shop but not taking the time to do anything special. I was unfortunately let down by this but they do have a blueberry tart that was a silver lining in all of this

This was so good! Friendly, attentive service. The croissant au fromage may be the best I’ve had in the city. The feuilleté suisse was incredibly fresh. 10/10 I will be coming back.

I’m a regular customer at this café — I live in the neighborhood and often come here with my family for coffee and croissants. We’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere and the quality.

However, today I had a very disappointing experience with a staff member named Coralie. She didn’t listen to what I wanted to order and just made something without asking. She threw the change on the counter and walked away without even finishing the coffee properly — no napkin, no care. When I politely asked her to come back and complete the order, she replied, “Go to someone else,” and turned her back.

This kind of attitude is unacceptable, especially in a tourist-friendly area like this one. It does not reflect the usually kind and respectful service one expects in Montreal.

I sincerely hope the management will take this seriously and provide the necessary training or feedback to prevent this from happening again.

I live in the neighborhood and I know this bakery well having been there very often. This morning, I went there after several weeks of absence. Total desolation :-( The olive fougasse and the baguettes were overcooked, therefore very hard. What a disappointment and as the fougasse costs $7.10, we expect a quality product. And what can I say about the person who served me. ..not very friendly. In short, very bad experience and I don't think I will go back soon.

Bought 6 pastries.

She put all 6 of them in a little brown bag all together.

Everything stuck together.

How do you want to offer this to those around you when everything is torn with the cream of another pastry stuck underneath.

Finally... I almost broke a tooth trying to eat a small biscuit for 3.50.

Expensive one expects fees in my opinion.

One thing’s for sure, it wasn’t fresh that day.

Totally disappointed.
