A comfortable, laid back, intimate, stone and glass room in the basement. After our bartender gave us a complimentary round of lemon drop shots, we ordered our custom drinks and each one was expertly crafted. Great atmosphere and great service.

Love a secret bar! We didn't really know what we wanted to drink and we just told our bartender what we liked and he surprised us and killed it every time. Love the vibes, cozy! Worth checking out!

J'ai essayé quelques-uns, mais celui du Bird Bar était excellent ! De plus, je tiens à prendre un moment pour parler de notre serveuse exceptionnelle, Victoria. Vous connaissez l'expression "être à sa place", eh bien, elle était parfaitement à sa place en salle. Malgré la musique, elle s'exprimait clairement avec une belle élocution. Elle connaissait la carte et prenait le temps de nous donner le nom de son serviable collègue, Sheldon, au cas où nous aurions besoin de quoi que ce soit. Elle s'assurait que les clients passent une excellente soirée, et lorsque nous commandions des boissons, on pouvait voir qu'elle les préparait avec soin et cherchait toujours à les améliorer.

I always have a blast here! staff are so friendly and fun, the drinks are great. Highly recommend eating at bird bar for dinner and then going downstairs afterwards for cocktails

Had the cocktail with the chartreuse and the one with the Laphroaig and they were great. They made the effort to make two off menu cocktails for my friend. Service was friendly. Music was good, retro hip hop vibe. Nice decor.

If you're looking to chill and have some drinks with friends, look elsewhere. A yelleasy would probably define this type of bar better. Deafening DJ upstairs is echoed downstairs. If you want LOUD, you have come to de right place.

I call Tuesday for a reservation for 10 people for Saturday February 4, 2023 to celebrate a birthday, I leave a message on voicemail, no answer, no call back. I then call during their opening hours no answer, I call several times Wednesday no answer, Thursday same thing. It was not until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday that I finally managed to speak to someone and I ended up booking at their other location at Speakeasy due to lack of space at the Bird Bar… probably thanks to the fact that you are not not reachable… Finally on Friday I call and they tell me that I don't have a reservation at the Speakeasy… In the end, I find another restaurant for my group. Saturday evening they call me to ask me if I am on my way to the restaurant and tell me that they have water damage. LOL!!!! Don't go there if you have an event as they are unreliable for reservations.2 things to say to the manager of this place:1- You are DISORGANIZED2- MANAGE your staff

N.B.: many of the reviews seem to be for the restaurant bar the bird bar. My review is ONLY for the Henden, speakeasy located in the basement of the bird bar.Meh.Pros: It's a nice place. It's still comfortable, a lot of seating and comfortable. The drinks were pleasant.Cons: (from least to worst)-It's really tiny. My apartment is bigger than the "club" (spoiler: I don't live in a big apartment) I felt like I was in the basement of a mononc, but full of strangers, the feeling is odd.-It's incredibly dark. It adds a good atmosphere, impossibility to take any good photo. Looks like selfies isn't it great?-The DJ booth has lost power. From what I understand, the DJ must have played his iphone playlist for 15 minutes.- since it's small, there aren't that many customers. But the service is a ch ... The bartender did not seem to understand either French or English. He took my order. Made me wait 15 minutes. Forgot my order and asked me again. Made me wait another 10 minutes. 25 minutes + waiting for 2 drinks when there are 3 barmaids and a 20th customer, it's ridiculous.I took 1 drink based on tequila + 1 diet Pepsi. Not even two full drinks. Before tip: $22!!!! Degeulasse.One and done for me. It's a trendy hipster place that clearly lives off its cool speakeasy vibe hidden in Griffintown but underneath the chill image the reality of what the place is leaves VERY much to be desired.

Great speakeasy in griffintown if there's people and a party going on. Unfortunately, sometimes there just isn't enough people to get a party going. On the bright side, the drinks are decent and the bartenders are nice.

Stopped in for a drink and a small bite before dinner reservations, turned out to be a GREAT decision. Great vibes, the DJ was on point. The salmon tatare was really fresh. The cocktails were really good.

Had one of the funnest nights in a long time here! The vibe started off cozy and intimate as a speakeasy should be but as the night progressed the crowd was in the mood to dance so they turned up the music and it was A FRIKEN BLAST. Not sure if they saw that we were mostly millenials there or if the DJ normally plays this music but it was a mix of 90s and 2000s RNB and pop. The owner was also super sweet to everyone there and i will 100% be coming back!!
