Canard Café, for me, is the spiritual successor to Hoché Café and, though that's often the reason that I go inside, it simply does not hit the same way. I don't believe two sandwiches and a drink should be more than 40$ without tip, but I guess that's my neighborhood now.

Right from when you walk in you feel the warmth of the people who work here. What a lovely experience for this traveller! They were patient with my inadequate French, friendly and warm. Get the house smoked salmon anything! I had the bagel with salmon and cream cheese, so flaky and not over smoked. My daughter had the granola bowl and loved it too, excellent mix of sweet and tart. If you like tea lattes, definitely try the Montreal Fog.
Thank you for the fantastic experience!

Okay place, with okay service and okay food. Pastries were too sweet for my taste, not worth it. The dish I ordered (which is one of the most popular) felt like a ‘build your own’ sandwich – tasty. I think it’s a different concept, I’d rate it around 7-8, so 4 stars is enough.

Mostly heavily dense coffee without much distinctions between the types…

Had the bicyclette plate and I was terribly disappointed. Dressing on salad was bland, bread was tough and the sausage was super dry

This place has such a great atmosphere! The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The service was also prompt and efficient. My coffee was delicious, and the food I ordered was fantastic. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

The taste of sandwiches was really good. I liked the pistachio latte. It was crowded and somewhat hard to find a seat. We sat on the high chairs in front of the window.

Delicious coffee and my breakfast sandwich too! To try!

Good coffee and a very nice team! Special mention for the pumpkin latte on the menu at the moment, the best I've found in Montreal ✨

My friends and I visited this cafe on December 4th, we didn't like the coffee (which is very expensive compared to the quality). In addition, the girl at the checkout (with glasses) was very unpleasant and I would even go so far as to say impolite, I don't see why she is doing customer service when we can clearly see that she is not don't like it. In short, I do not recommend this cafe and I would not give a star if I could.
