The drinks were lovely, the food amazing ( gnocchi light& delicious). The chef also is operatic quality tenor; we were lucky enough to hear him sing. Service was friendly attentive & excellent. Ambiance- very homey- mismatched chairs& such but added to charm. Can't wait to return!

I came from the Caribbean’s craving Pasta and decided to Google restaurants near my neighbourhood. We usually go to a south shore Italian restaurant but it was closed for Easter Sunday. This one picked my curiosity due to its proximity but knew that it was overpriced for the amount of pasta served in the dishes they offer. Once there, I found the atmosphere appealing and the smells were pleasant. The seating was a bit odd but we adapted to it. After looking at the menu I chose the Braised Beef Scoter and my girl the ravioli a la Toscana. To make it simple, the Braised Beef Scoter was the one dish I will go back for and the Arancini without forgetting their interesting private Wine list. The pasta dishes can be an overpriced small quantity for small appetites. Again Braised Beef Scoter 5/5 in my personal opinion!!!

We were visiting from out of town and chose this place for our “special” meal, in part based on the reviews. The servers were incredible. The atmosphere was great. The singing was special. But the food was not up to expectations (or prices) and we wished we had of gone somewhere else for our special meal out.

Just wanted to put respect on this place and Davide Bazzali, the head chef. The staff took great care of us and the food was delectable. Top marks for aesthetics, as well; I felt like I’d entered a rustic Italian home.

This place is an absolute gem! Cozy and quaint. Thoughtfully decorated. Food was remarkable. Owner and chef came out to personally greet us and is an amazing opera singer who sings for the restaurant! So glad we stumbled in here on a sleepy, snowy Sunday night - truly authentic and unique experience. Best way to cap our trip to Montreal!

We were there on their “Pasta and Opera” night. What a treat! A truly tasty menu and the music was fabulous. Great atmosphere. All of us, including the staff were having so much fun. I hadn’t been to I’m Bazalli before but friends and family have been there for both lunch and dinner. And loved it. I’ll be back.

The plates are made with great care and the head chef will sing to his guests as they take in the superior quality food and ambiance; his voice was epic, creating an unforgettable experience. I look forward to returning in the future. Perhaps even to enjoy a meal by myself.
