By far the best restaurant in Montreal. Great food , good options , service is fun and the ambiance also. It s not a snob place you have a great time while eating great food at a reasonable price.

We ordered a few appetisers + sides + mains. For main, we got the lobster spaghetti and off-the-menu beef dish. The beef was truly disappointing. Very dry and tough. We couldn’t finish half of it. The appey+side were good. Overall, not sure if it’s worth the price. We’re glad we tried it once, but it’s not a place we would come back when we visit Montreal again. The only thing that was good was the wine selection.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was okay. We were sat near the windows and the seats were so snug, it felt a bit too tight for two people.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and had an amazing experience. The service was outstanding — our waiter was incredibly attentive, explaining the menu and daily specials in detail, and helping us choose the perfect wine.
We started with the croquettes, then had the rib eye with carrots as our main dish — everything was delicious. We found it funny that, for my husband’s birthday, they placed a candle on a potato instead of a dessert 🤭 — such a quirky and memorable touch!
For dessert, we ordereded - apparently their house specialty. It was worth it.
Total including tip and 4 glass of wine was close to $400.
All in all, one of the best dinners we’ve ever had in Montreal. Highly recommended!

I was looking forward to trying Joe Beef, but it was very disappointing. For a restaurant charging prices like this, I think they failed it. Service was good tho. It could be an off day, but I won't try again.

I wasn't blown away buy anything especially the drink they offered as their special for the night. The steak was very good but the appetizers left some to be desired. It's a nice spot, for the ambiance and as the name implies, the meat.

I didn’t order well. (My wife got the Canale, which was amazing) I went with the duck which was good, but nothing to write home about. It really was a mix of the hospitality and ambiance that keeps this at a 5.

Service is great and the food is good but it is waayyyyyy OVERPRICED. At 165$ tx and tips in only for a sirloin this is ridiculous. I will not name any places but many many other spots as good if not better for a fraction of this price. Tables very very close and it is noisy. Definitely a place to share pics on ig and that's it. Way overrated in my opinion. Definitely my last time.

Such an excellent experience! Went for my birthday and had one of the best meals I’ve had anywhere in the world. Bone marrow custard topped with Uni and halibut with a wild mushroom sauce were highlights! Will absolutely return. Thanks to the whole Joe Beef crew for a fantastic meal! 🍽️
The food is good, location is amazing but the service was stellar thank to Gabriel Definitely a place to come back, in the end the food is more than just eat: its share, it’s a good memory.

IT is very expensive but quality is exceptional
I think they hit the mark on every plate in that category, and what I like about it is that they are not douchy, wear some jeans lumberjack shirt and go there and you will feel like like the owner is cooking for you in his home
some restaurants get to that holy status because of the quality of food they serve you, and the atmosphere they bring to you Joe Beef is one of them. continue being that, and I will keep coming

High quality food. Of what I understand they always have specials. It is pricey but worth it. Service was incredible. We had the salad, shrimp cocktail. Tenederloin with escargots, best salad and French fries. Tenderloin was my favorite with a red wine sauce
