Incredible experience! As Sous Chefs visiting from Toronto, my partner and I have been fans and admirers from afar for many years. Hands down one of those true "bucket list" dining experiences. Cannot wait to visit again. Merci Joe Beef!! The legends were true!
Merveilleux soirée tout était impeccable. Super service comme à l'habitude, notre serveur mathis était excellent
Absolutely amazing meal. Each course was perfect, along with the wine pairings for each was great. Our server was knowledgeable and so friendly. Complete 10/10 experience.
Exceptional. Been excited to try this place for years and the food, service, ambience didn't disappoint. Leo took care of us and we couldn't have had a better overall dining experience.
Just spectacular. Smoked herring amazing, Rabbit sausage very good. Lobster pasta rich butgreat.
Still one of my favorite restaurants in the world. I'd recommend focusing on appetizers and specials! The mains are great, but the real gems aren't steaks.
You can come tomorrow if you're interested and I'll let him know that he is going to get a week off and then I'll be home in a few minutes and then I'll go get it to me
The food was exceptional, EVERY bite was heavenly and you can tell that a lot of love, thought and great cooking is put into every dish served. BUT the real star was our server Kalina (forgive me if I spelled this wrong) she has curly hair, and adorable accent and she made sure every moment in there, we felt special, attended to, and heard. Kalina, you will remember us, the ladies toasting to Taylor Swift, and we love you!

We walked in expecting a spectacular meal based on recommendations made by family and friends. The first thing that hit us was the noise level: we could barely hear ourselves think. Even though the waiter was only 3 feet away, I had no idea what he was saying. That said, the service was lovely. On to the meal itself. I had 6 snails for $25 Canadian. They were ok but under seasoned. Next up was the famous lobster spaghetti. I now know what makes it so famous— it’s poor execution. The lobster was rubbery and dry. The mountain of pasta was stuck together: in some places overcooked while in others barely cooked and still crunchy. All this for $71 Canadian. My partner had the fillet for $95 Canadian. How do you spell “shoe leather”? Needless to say, we skipped dessert. We paid the $290 Canadian and didn’t let the door hit us in the rear end on the way out.

For the amount of hype Joe Beef gets I was worried it might not live up to expectations. The starters were good but not great, except for the oysters. Perfectly shucked and nice and plump. However the mains really kicked things up a notch. My hanger steak was perfectly cooked and served in quite possibly the best, most rich, decadent sauce I've ever tasted. Then came desert. We tried their signature 20 layer cake and the choux pastry. The latter of which I still think about 4 months later. Easily a top 3 desert dish I've tasted. Service was very good and staff was attentive. Our server was so great, funny and personable. Also knew the menu inside and out. Definitely recommend if you are in Montreal. not sure if it entirely lives up to its reputation but a damn good meal nonetheless.

Very disappointed. They Said they had a seat for me at the bar then changed their mind. Had me standing around a long time for no reason
What a delightful experience. We were lucky to get a last minute booking. We had the duck and the hanger steak. delicious and well cooked jus as meat should be paired with amazing sauces that did not overwhelm the meet. Staff were amazing in describing the food and bringing different wines for tasting to choose. The martini was one of the best; perfectly chilled and well made. The whole experience felt initmate and lovely.
