Came here with my family of 5 near closing, and still got the most hospitable, personalized service. Food was fresh, warm, and so tasty. (I think?) the owner came and took his time with our orders, the girl and the front was also super friendly. Food was a 10/10 from all of us. Establishment was very clean.
Plus, their entrees, mains, desserts, and the mango lassis are all delicious. We had mutton rolls, vegetarian thali, shrimp curry, beef kothu, a few lassis, and even ordered seconds of our mains for takeouts.
Our total bill was much lower than we expected, so I’d 100% recommend coming here if you are on a budget or want some leftovers.

I ordered chilli chicken and paneer masala and both were a complete disaster. The chilli chicken was burnt, the paneer was extremely salty, and after taking just one spoon and a picture, I threw everything straight into the garbage. The food was totally inedible, and I can undoubtedly say this is the worst food I've ever had from a restaurant. Even if the prices are cheap, that does not mean they can serve such garbage. The restaurant urgently needs to maintain at least a basic standard of quality. PS: I know the second pic is disgusting, but had to show its final resting place where it deserves to be. PATHETIC

Restaurant Jolee catered my 50-person event, and I was very pleased with the experience. The manager Yoga was very accommodating, and the prices were very reasonable. They provided heating elements and timely delivery service for our event. Highly recommend!

We visited this restaurant today, and it was a really disappointing experience. The old man at the counter was very rude and had no respect or courtesy toward customers.
We ordered puttu with mutton curry and kothu roti. The food was terrible — only the mutton curry was slightly okay, but the puttu on top was completely dry. My husband’s kothu was not at all flavourful. We also clearly mentioned “no spice,” but they still made it very spicy, which we couldn’t even tolerate.
Our total food should have been around $60, but they charged us $107 without any clear explanation. The man said he added a 15% service charge as “standard,” which we were never informed about.
We came all the way from Toronto to Montreal, and this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. Totally not recommended — rude service, overcharging, and very poor food quality. 👎

I’m shocked how low the reviews are — restaurant jolee is the best Sri Lankan food I’ve ever had. We make a point to stop by and load up our freezer every time we come to Montreal from the United States. We particularly love the beef roll, mutton curry and dals. Their food is simply delicious.
