The staff at this restaurant are incredibly kind and attentive, making you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The sushi here is consistently outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Hands down one of the best sushi spots in Montreal. Highly recommend for anyone seeking top-notch sushi and a memorable dining experience!

My third or 4th time there but this time was after a long time . I always had amazing food there that excited my taste buds but I find the quality has degraded . It gave me a blah feeling . Was not impressed with the food this time. Did not give me the feeling of wanting to go back or bringing friends there . Probably will try other places before I go back again .

One of the best sushi places in Montreal hands down. Great quality of fish , excellent service and such affordable prices. I don’t recommend the omakase but all their sushi is amazing. The freshness is unbeatable.

Went there to celebrate with my girlfriend totry the omakase the food was OKAY nothing incredible but not bad until we got to desert. We forced ourself to finish it, the flavour were all over the place but not in a good way. In the end, it was good but I feel like it was just a bit better then fastfood sushi so clearly not worth the enormous prices going with the portions and flavour profiles..

I had a very good evening at Jun I. The food is really good and fresh. I had the omakase experience which is nice. The service is really good and the decor is neat.

The food was FANTASTIC it is one of the "top chefs" but our server was a little non understanding and that wasn't because of a language barrier because we had a French speaker but he just wasn't understanding. All the food was great though.

The sushi is excellent, the rice doesn't make you bloated like it often does with sushi. We were lucky to get a last minute spot. Small downside: the service, just a little dry and cold.

Had the tasting menu. It was my second time there and both experiences were excellent. Plenty of delicious specialties included on the tasting menu. And, for the price, you really do get value - sushi platter was varied, delicious, and plentiful!
Probably best sushi in Montreal.

A master of sushi.
Just the cooking of the rice was superb, that’s saying something. The selection of fish, the blends of tastes and magnificent textures.
The service, although very correct, lacked tact.
Worth a visit, but a bit pricey I must say.

Absolutely a place I would not recommend. It may have been a good spot in the past, but for now it’s a 0 star service, lack of manners and basic bienséance from staff and owner, no respect to bookings. By the way make sure you’re white and preferably with blue eyes, otherwise the owner and his staff will feel uncomfortable having you in their restaurant! Not worth it at all ! I won’t be surprised it closes soon !

After having made a formal reservation for 9:00 p.m. and showing up on time, I was received by an extremely unpleasant and hasty waiter who took me to my table, when suddenly he asked me in a tone very dry to return to the entrance and wait without providing me with any explanation.
A few minutes of waiting later, another server comes to me and asks me to wait again without explanation.
A few minutes later, a lady asks us to follow her to a table on the main room side, you should know that when booking I chose a table on the much quieter shop side as I was with my family accompanied by my husband and my son we wanted to enjoy a calm atmosphere in order to be able to enjoy the sushi which we unfortunately did not have the opportunity to taste and for good reason! I explain to this lady that this is not the table we had reserved, so she asks me for a moment and leaves again.
There, another gentleman arrives and tells us that the table we had reserved is still full and that the people seated there are not ready to leave and that, therefore, we had no other choice than sitting at the bar (with a child it's very practical indeed!) or in the table on the main room side which was extremely noisy, all this, without any apology and always in an extremely haughty and condescending tone! I was totally stunned by this response! I made a reservation for a particular space, showed up on time and it is up to me to change spaces because customers have exceeded the maximum 3 hours allowed by the restaurant in a table? You should know that this is clearly indicated and written in black and white on the reservation site. Would these customers be more important? If this is the case, you might want to make it clear to future customers that there are “caste systems” in your restaurant.
In this way, I am not supposed, as a client, to have to manage this type of internal problem and this lack of organization! Added to this is the extremely unpleasant behavior of the staff, even disdainful and haughty, perhaps the color of my skin was not to their liking... who knows and in any case, I have a fairly high opinion of my person for not even venturing down this path.
All this to tell you that I am really extremely disappointed by the quality of the welcome and the messy organization of this place!
This place was however highly recommended to me by friends of mine, formerly great regulars of the place but you have to believe that nothing lasts forever and that the quality of service and welcome have greatly deteriorated.
When we want to be a “gastronomic” restaurant we must be up to the task and not only in terms of dishes but also in terms of service and welcome. I sincerely hope that this opinion will allow the team and particularly the "owner" of this restaurant to question themselves because it seems to me that, like the food which seems delicious, it is not is not his strong point.

In my opinion, the most refined Japanese restaurant in Montreal! The sushi, makis, sashimi and others are fresh, fine and extremely tasty. The textures are incredible. The service is efficient and provides good advice. It's more expensive than elsewhere, but it's well worth it.
