I'm impressed by this spot and really sad I did not try it earlier. The vibes are great, the people are nice, the food is good, and the service was prefect enough to make me want to visit again.
I was there for the new year's eve, and was a bit skeptical about the spot. It all faded the moment the evening started: there was 3 persons handling the whole service and in my opinion they did really good job.
It's not the kind of fancy restaurant and don't expect anything perfect especially on such a busy night.
- This place has the cool and social vibe: the guys who took care of preparing and serving the food were beyond efficient and handled everything perfectly well.
- tables were well organized in a way not to bump with anyone while seated or moving around. Add to it, you don't need to turn around to watch the show.
- the show was great with some short comedy breaks between the different sections: arabic oud, mixed international singer, belly dancer, and a DJ.
It wasn't perfect but in the end it's how you feel after you leave this place and I was really impressed.

Went to the mood de7ek open mic stand up comedy show. Staff was pleasant, atmosphere was alright. The food however- Please eat before you go. My cousin and I ordered : Fatouch, labneh, a plate of kebbeh (4 in the plate) one plate of cheese cigars (also 4 in the plate) , fries and 2 cokes. Our order came out to roughly 100$.
Quite the rip off. If the food was good we wouldn't have minded the hefty price as we love the idea of having a cultural hub like Kawalees here in Montreal but it was harshly below average. If you must eat avoid the kebbeh and cheese cigars. They were clearly bought from Adonis or some other bakery (for 15$/dozen mind you) slapped on a plate and half heated in the microwave ; limp , cold & quite sad while being priced at a whopping 15$ for 4 pieces. Very disappointing and will definitely hinder their progress in building a loyal clientele. Underwhelming is an understatement.

I must've ordered all the wrong things because i didn't really enjoy it that much. I had the hibiscus tea (cold) and it just tasted like 7UP, and I had the libanese burger which was not that libanese and the bun was cold and ketchup isn't very libanese.
Update: the cashier was super nice though

Good sound for live music but be prepared to pay over $10 for a bottle of beer.

This is definitely one of Montreal's coolest Middle Eastern spots, with lots of performances and events that should not be missed, especially when couple with authentic Lebanese dishes!

The food is good but very slow to be served; and the atmosphere with the stand up comedy was very nice.
