Having eaten at Jun I, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I was looking forward to a $80 sushi platter I purchased from Okini. Overall, it was disappointing, the sashimi quality was good, but the maki creations were very underwhelming. Additionally, the platter did not reflect the high cost and for a takeout bar so associated with the Jun I name I was certainly expecting a lot more.

Fish was incredible, one of the freshest and best in town. The tuna toro was sublime. I also got the wasabi and pickled ginger, both top quality. This is the place to go for a sushi night at home. Friendly service to boot. Highly recommended.

It's a small boutique opened by Jun I, the restaurant next door. Here, they sell quality ingredients for sushi, condiments, sauces, teas, kitchenware... They also have desserts and food for take-out. I was looking for Japanese style cream puffs and they have it here! The rich custard cream is what makes them so good. The onigiri stuffed with pickled plum has a nice savory taste and I liked the texture of the rice. This is my place to go for quality food.
