5* everything. What a find!!! We came across it this afternoon and are so happy we went in. It's immaculately clean, the welcome was super nice and helpful, the choice of food is abundant and the quality is amazing. Everything is made there including the light as a feather filo pastry for the Spanakopita and other varieties. Totally authentic, delicious and a must. We'll be back very very soon. I first stumbled into Kouzina Niata during a food tour with Local Montreal Food Tours and immediately felt like I’d found something special. The phyllo was flaky, the vibe was cozy, and everything had that homemade feel that just sticks with you.

Fast forward to my second visit, this time as a plus one for my friend Sarah’s tasting, and it honestly made me love the place even more.

Tucked in Mile End, Kouzina is a warm little family-run...

I’ve been here a few times for a spanakopita, and while the flavour is incredible, every spanakopita I’ve had from here has been filled with sand. I’m guessing that the leeks aren’t being properly washed. I thought the first time was maybe a fluke, but after three times it’s clear it’s not. Don’t think I’ll give it a fourth go.
