By far my best experience in Montreal, finally a restaurant that offers an atmosphere with a respected theme worthy of the name! The service is impeccable, in addition to being such nice and helpful people.I recommend without hesitation!

The owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed! Not only was the food flavourful, the decor and atmosphere made it even more enjoyable! We are visiting from Toronto but next time we are in Montreal, we will be sure to visit again!

We started with a lentil soup, which was super creamy and tasty. We had two large plates of couscous (one vegetarian and one with meat) as the main course and both were delicious. The portions are very generous. We were a large group of 12 people and there were leftovers.Service was also great and the hibiscus tea served at the end was refreshing. I recommend this place !Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options.Wheelchair accessibility: The place did not seem very wheelchair accessible; there is not a lot of place to move around inside the restaurant.

Aggressive lighting with some lights that are too white. It really breaks the calm and warm atmosphere. On the contrary, cold atmosphere due to cold luminosity.Disgusting mixed toilets ? I wouldn't have liked to be a woman that evening. Unacceptable and makes me not want to go back. Cleanliness is important in both kitchens and toilets. So imagine.Decent food. It lacks meat. Too easy to put full couscous and little meat. All in all... it no longer has the charm it had before. As if we were surfing on a reputation that was dying. Tick tock if nothing changes.Pleasant and friendly staff. A little long but nothing too disturbing.PS to the owners... as long as there is life, there is hope. So there's still time.

Unparalleled good vibes from Atigh and his staff. This is not just a restaurant but a community hub, a place where people can gather, discuss, live musicians play (spontaneously and pre-organized). Recipes, festivals and new businesses spring up. Not to mention despite the small menu there are options for vegetarians, vegans and the gluten afflicted.Dietary restrictions: The gluten free couscous is manioc based and very good. There is always a Veg option which is vegan, lactose free etc and super tasty.
This place was amazing, we wanted something to make us feel like we were back in africa and this place did exactly that. The man who served us was so friendly and kind and was a great representation of what being African is. I will definitely be back!
