We were taking visiting family there until someone pointed out the bad inspection they had just had in March 2023, I was embarrassed to have suggested it and we looked for somewhere else. I've enjoyed it many times years ago but did feel a little unkempt; I was horrified by the report and decided to not give them another chance. Sorry you are no longer my go to place in Chinatown.

A whole bowl of peas and carrots that they call Sichuan Style Shrimps - $15.95, and it tasted like a bowl of peas and carrots boiled in ketchup. $15.95 for the garbage!

16$ for a small portion of chicken Tao, and the taste isn't good......that's why this restaurant becomes quite....

We were craving Chinese and came across VIP. We called them ahead to ask them for recommendations for their most popular dishes before placing the order on UberEats. We ended up ordering General Tao Chicken, Sesame Beef & Chicken Fried Rice. Food arrived within an hour of placing the order. Portions were huge! Quality of ingredients & taste was excellent. I personally loved the Chicken Fried Rice & General Tao but found the Beef Sesame to be alright. Would highly recommend this establishment to others and would definitely be ordering again!

Let me just say, this place is by far one of the best Asian restaurant I've ever been to. Love the General Tao chicken here, the ginger lobster is to die for, a bit pricey but worth every penny. When me and my wife goes there we spent easily $100-$150 lol. I love this place. Clean, friendly and very professional. And another plus is their open until 03:30AM. I think I've been to VIP at least a dozen times. And I will keep going until I'm their last customer.

Amazing everything. Best place to grab a bite after a long night out with friends. Good food and service.

Only giving it 1 star because 0 stars wasn't an option. I found myself craving some good old fashioned chicken lo mein, I thought it was generally hard to mess up being that even the dumpiest Chinese restaurants can put out some fire noodles however this was not the case. The noodles were soggy and FLAVORLESS along with everything else in it not to mention the chicken was PINK and I found a very weird melty piece of RUBBER in my dish. Also got beef fried rice but if I closed my eyes and ate it I wouldn't know because there was no. flavor. In conclusion I highly do not recommend and will not be eating here again. P.S. I got take out. Don't do that.

Ohhhhh heck yea this place is bomb! The salt and pepper pork chops are a must ! Classic Chinese food cooked to how it should be. The location is a bit hidden, but feasible! ....We were seated quick and the food came out in about 10 min from the order. The building seems old but it works!!

My friends and I have a ritual after attending concerts. We usually go to Chinatown for late night eats. After hours of waiting, two more hours of standing and/or dancing or rocking out often at venues that don't have anything besides drinks or over-priced junk food, you're famished by 11- 11:30pm. Unless you want to go to McDonald's (no thanks) there's only a handful of restos in Montreal that are open for late night eats.Thankfully Chinatown has a few places that are open until 3:30am. Maison V.I.P is one of them. So after last night's Peter Murphy and 40 Years of Bauhaus concert, we came here and chowed down some decent Chinese grub, like beef with bitter melon, deep fried shrimp balls and garlic stir fried snow peas. Deeply satisfying after a night out.

I love Maison VIP! Come here for the cheapest meals, and boy are they tasty! I love me some thin noodles, and they have great noodle dishes! Pull up a seat and sit at a round table with other customers. You won't be disappointed. This is a Montreal institution.

This was the WORST Chinese restaurant I have ever dined in. Food was truly inedible. Canned peas and carrots, waterlogged ancient and soft cashews and slimy teeny frozen shrimp were my shrimp and cashew dish. Even the rice was slimy. The cheesy plastic table cloths were off-putting and I was kicking myself for eating lunch here even though it was only 4.95$ canadian. It deserves no stars. Our party of 3 basically chose this place because it was the closest when the rains came. Terrible choice.

I just came in from a long day of traveling and this was open late and didn't disappoint. I had the dinner for 1 special

Tasty food! The General Tao Chicken was good but not great. The garlic beef was good but not great. Also had the Chow Mein Cantonais was fair but didn't have much in the flavour department. What saved the meal & turned it into a 3-Star was the Salt & Pepper Shrimp. That was delicious & it was a decent size serving. The service was very fast & the place was kinda divey. It's clearly family owned. Not sure I'd go back unless I was in the area & couldn't honk of another restaurant.

The beef chow mein was really good. The general tsao chicken wasn't the best. The Chinese food was good but not greasy either. But it was a quaint Chinese restaurant
