I couldn't find out what the box was like since the bouncer rejected us and then blackmailed us by telling us that if we gave him $20 discreetly we could have gotten in. I don't know if it's customary to do that in this club but if you don't want to be extorted, run away.

We had a dinner reservation at 9pm with a sushi platter. Presentation was impressive. We were there on a Sunday in February, it was pretty empty at 9pm but by 11pm it was a club. The sushi was alright, they also gave us to go boxes to take home which was a nice touch. Service was good, fast, and attentive.
The music was good, it got somewhat crowded towards midnight. DJ took my song request which was nice. We were here for a bachelorette party.
The bathrooms are really really nice, and there is a typewriter in the women’s washrooms which was unique. Unsure why there was a bathroom attendant in the women’s washroom you were suppose to tip, that seemed unnecessary.
Coat check was upstairs by donation.
Lots of stairs down to the restaurant/club, it felt like in a basement.
Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian sushi was on the platter

Le pire service que j’ai reçu de ma vie. C’etait l’anniversaire de mon amie et le videur lui a hurler dessus et il était agressif. Notre serveuse apportait des articles que nous n’avions pas commandé à chaque 30 min. Nous avons payer le menu de groupe et ils nous ont servi que les sushis sans l’entrée. Je suis extrêmement déçue. N’y allez pas.

Came last Friday, music was a bit loud. I had sushi and fruit of Eden, all of it tasted very good; a little heavy on the mayo, however. The show was great, though I was expecting more of them. Overall a very good experience.

I come often, beautiful place, classic and modern at the same time, I really like it. Except that there is just one little thing, it's the DJ, I didn't like his music at all, it's all the same music with the same rhythm, but sometimes he rarely plays beautiful music...otherwise everything is OK, food, drink, price is good.

It was great! Our server Florence was not only beautiful but she was very attentive to us.
From when the moment we arrived the hostess acknowledged the notes on my reservation and I love that, she welcomed us to Montreal and La Voute with excitement that we were visiting from Calgary.
The food was delicious, perfectly made sushi, the flavour and temperature of the rolls made it a delight.(I do not like ice cold sushi that’s why I point out the temperature ) The salmon sashimi to die for ! I just wish the portions were bigger as it can be pricy.
We loved it when the party got started, all the members of the staff get involved in the party, it was contagious. Beautiful and talented dancers gave us amazing performances . One of the gentlemen that brought us water and cleared our table gave me his white napkin for me to join the party, I loved that gesture. At the end the manager said good bye to us and thanked us for our visit.
I think my conclusion is that the staff made our experience great. Even the serious security gentlemen offered kind smiles.
The decoration and atmosphere are truly different and mysterious. I loved the vintage building mixed with modern aspects. Whoever thought of this concept congratulations! What a hit!

Amazing New Year! I presented my medical note concerning my leg disability (not visible) and they agreed to accommodate. I was able to stay seated even though I didn't have a table. The meal was delicious and so were the drinks.

Was with visitors from Winnipeg. The drinks were the best for not only for taste but uniqueness. We ordered sushi special, was probably best sushi we've tasted. Fresh and tasty and presentation. Was amazing with fire and dry ice effect. The entertainment was different, but unique. Loved the DJ. Music was good not too loud and was able to enjoy each other's company with good music. The Place was very clean. Servers were polite and attentive.Loved the Hennesy expresso Martini. Manager very present, which was appreciative. Defineately would go back. We were there for chinese new year celebration. Was a very fun evening.

When someone orders bottles they wheel out ladies on a cart to serve them. Since the dancefloor is pretty narrow, everyone has to back up to let them through. Someone backed up into me and knocked me over, pushing me so I fell right on top of a table and broke a bunch of glasses. I ended up bleeding with a ripped open dress and had to leave. At no point did any staff member ask me if I was okay or try to help me
