Always the best service and food
Bad service
Used to love this place. Came here all the time. Was always satisfied. Went today and got a burnt breakfast sandwich. In all the times i’ve been there, I’ve never complained or sent something back once. I told the lady with the bangs and white hair, I think one of the owners, that it was burnt, she looked at me like i’m crazy, no apology or nothing. She comes back with a piece of a sausage cooked normally. She actually cut up the sausage into a smaller piece instead of replacing the whole thing, what a waste. Not sure what’s gotten into them, but I won’t be recommending them to my readers or friends anymore.
Food quality is perfection, staff are friendly and attentive. Very cute but busy place where you might be squished into a corner. A bit pricy.
Fabulous spot. The menu looks deceptively simple, but dont be fooled. Dishes are designed to be shared - our favourite type of meal. Each dish is beautifully crafted with fresh ingredients and careful thought to flavour combinations. We had the ceviche, beet salad and the beef with chimichurri sauce, and then the banoffee pie for dessert. We loved them all. We’re still dreaming of that ceviche! In retrospect, probably would have had the rhubarb tart for desert instead, but we enjoyed the banoffee too.
Service is excellent, just the right amount of advice, attention and casual interaction. Love the no tipping policy too! Certainly didn’t impact the level of service :)
The atmosphere is casual and easy. Many came in just to have the burgers - I’m guessing they are fantastic too. Maybe next time!
One other note - Google AI told me that reservations are not taken. This is not the case, we reserved a few weeks ahead. It was for a Saturday night - not sure if that is an exception, but worth noting.
Everything here is so good. They make their own ham, and the cold-cut sandwich is unbelievably good. The roasted tomatoes and mushrooms are incredible and keep me coming back time after time. Menu items are fairly simple but a tour de force in making the simple, excellent.
Love the cocktails too.

Kind staff, but bad price/portion tradeoff and I felt sick after eating the spiced cauliflower. Know you should cook some spices first!

I just had the sweetest time at Larry’s! The tartare was to die for—so fresh and tasty. I paired it with a lovely glass of wine that made my heart sing. The cozy vibe and friendly staff made it feel like a warm hug. Can’t wait to go back for more!

It’s ridiculous, small plates with poorly crafted dishes. I advise against it.
Best brunch spot hands down, puts to shame the other big name a few meters away on Fairmount. Worth every penny. Best breakfast sandwich I've had!!!
If you get the drip coffee, they keep refilling it... Small hack for coffee drinkers.
Brunch is also a lot higher quality than the dinner menu I find.
Vegetarian options: The mushrooms, picklets and scrambled eggs for breakfast are all amazing. Add an order of toast and it makes it even better

My go to Brunch spot in the Mile End! Homemade bread toasted with omelette is to die for. So so so good!
Food was good, price includes tip already so pricing is reasonable. The fries were amazing as was the scrambled eggs, though a tad on the saltier side.

The salmon belly with jerk spices was very good. The bread was made in house as well.

I ate at the bar here for a late afternoon meal before heading to the airport. The vibe was lovely, the service was friendly, and it was a great spot to post up, read and have a meal by yourself. I would come back here when I come back to Montreal and try more food items. All of their wines are natural wines, which I love.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options on the menu
