If you're in Montreal and love lasagna, this place is an absolute must-visit! Hands down, the best lasagna I've had in Canada. The layers were perfectly balanced, with the tomato paste hitting that ideal consistency—rich, flavorful, and not overly heavy. Every bite was perfection.
To top it off, the owner is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. His warmth and passion for his food make the experience even more special. You can feel the love and care that goes into every dish.
Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic, heartwarming lasagna. I'll definitely be back!

This was a wicked little spot. Owner was incredibly pleasant and the food was amazing. We tried all three lasagnas.
While I love a classic tomato and meat sauce, the rosé sauce was my favourite. Whether you go classic red, rosé, or vegetarian, you won't be disappointed.
Also had these little Italian Orange drinks that were amazing too.
Just a small spot, so if you can dine in outside of the main hours, I'd definitely recommend it. Also, call ahead for your orders to ensure you don't have to wait!

Really good lasagna. I like how it's not very cheesy and both the sauce regular and rose sauce are really good. Makes a super tasty easy affordable dinner but that's where there could be improvement. They close at 6 and usually don't have any lasagna left at ~530. It would be great if they were open maybe 30 minutes longer and had more available to pick up for dinner after work. Otherwise you need to call ahead and the nice owner will make/reserve it for you but that doesn't work for spontaneous lasagna craving!
It's honestly a hidden spot. The service was amazing. A lasagna during the cold start of autumn is the best combo anyone can get!

Cozy welcoming place with a few spots to sit and eat. We had take out but I’ll be going back to have it served the way it’s meant to be.
Drove from outside downtown and got there around 5:30pm. There were two meat lasagnas with rose sauce which we grabbed. I confirmed you can order in advance because he sells out so quickly, and he does large catering portions as well.
Got home, took the covers off and popped them in the oven for about 20 minutes.
The pasta was almost al dente. The sauce was rich and had depth to it. The meat was soft and chewy. The flavour was nuts. The ingredients were definitely quality. And like I said, these were made with love by someone who knows what they’re doing and clearly has a passion for this.
There’s so few places that really get things exactly right. Lasagna du Plateau is one of them.
I can’t wait to try the others. Go and buy some lasagna.
PS: I went back a day later and had the regular meat lasagna. Also depth of flavour. Also mind blowing. This man’s lasagna is comfort food.

No pork in this lasagne folks! I’m sure a lot of peeps might have not bothered coming by assuming there’s a mix of pork/beef in the marinara but no siree, this is spot on stuff
On the taste side, this is as close as you’ll get to the homemade taste you may be used to - the marinara is basic but tasty and the tomato sauce is made in house, so none of that premade stuff with additives and preservatives.
The gentleman is a standup bonafide owner and works hard. Since it’s not a traditional restaurant setting, you have to ask for the lasagne to be baked on the spot (it’s preferred that you take it home ?). The price is extremely reasonable ($9.95+tx for the small, standard one) and there is a rosé (creamier but heavier) option available.
You gotta love them holes in the wall!
Madames et messieurs, svp essayez cet endroit et savourez le vrai lasagna du ? bœuf (pas du porc ici!) - la viande québécoise et il y a de fortes chances que ce soit zabihah.
