We hired Duo de Chef for our wedding, and they completely exceeded our expectations. Communication was clear and responsive from day one. We even had the chance to do a tasting menu beforehand, with the cost deducted from our final bill—a nice touch.

Our chosen menu included spicy shrimp with mango salsa, chicken wings, salmon tartare, griot, lasagna, baby ribs, rice, mac & cheese, and two different salads. At $55 per person for all that (plus chef fees and travel), the value was more than reasonable.

On the day, they arrived right on time, adapted seamlessly to our venue setup (even though our side of the organization was… let’s say, “less than perfect”), and handled everything with zero complaints. The chefs were professional, kind, and genuinely contributed to making our wedding run smoothly.

And the food? Absolutely delicious—guests couldn’t stop raving about it. My only “complaint” is that the food was so good, all the leftovers got taken by guests before I could enjoy a second round!

If you want catering that’s professional, flexible, and serves up unforgettable food, I absolutely recommend Duo de Chef.

Une incontournable à Rivière-Des-Prairies, this place has awesome Poutine (I had the Griot). Try one of the Haitian soft drinks as well. Highly recommend!

This hole in the wall rocks. With live band today to celebrate 6 yr aniversary.....the smoker will be smoking all night with ribs, turkey legs, and filet mignon!

First time ordering from this place and my only regret is not trying it sooner. We ordered the Mac n Cheese Griot and the Poutine Daddy and both were AMAZING and I’ll even say PERFECT. The portions are HUGE couldn’t even finish them. The Mac has a delicious cheese sauce and the griot was so tender and had such a nice tangy flavor - I’m
not even a griot lover but this griot was different. And the poutine was fully loaded with delicious and tender chicken, griot and Philly steak. I’ll even say one of the top 3 poutines I’ve ever had. I will certainly be ordering again and can’t wait to try their other dishes. Good job, Chefs - well

Slaps Everytime

Ordered through Uber Eats and waited over an hour for my food. I was supposed to receive a griot plate with rice and paid extra for plantains. When it finally arrived, there was no rice at all, and everything was extremely dry. The plantains were way too hard, like they had been left in the air fryer for too long. Really disappointed with this experience.

I ordered from Duo du chef via the Uber Eats app, I ordered a chicken thigh and some cole rice. It was the only thing I had eaten all day, after that, I started to have a stomach ache and then, I had a severe case of food poisoning that lasted 4 days.

The Mac n cheese was really good! I also ordered the griot which was also very good however you have to order everything separately. It doesn't come with a portion of rice and individual macaroni like in other restaurants. But the food is good I recommend.

I ordered 2 chicken thighs with rice and red beans. Really disappointed, the rice was really salty and the meat had no taste if you finished eating the skin. And yet I have already eaten in this restaurant before 😔

I ordered a chicken and extra griot family dish on the side for me and my colleagues at work, I went to collect the order, firstly, the invoice was not attached to the bag when I came to collect the order, so I was not able to check before leaving the restaurant, and when I asked for a receipt, they had no paper in the printer machine, arrived at work at supper time, that's when I I noticed that they have made a mistake with the order, they just put griot instead of chicken, and my colleagues don't eat pork, I called, zero customer service, no one is able to speak to us properly despite the error comes from the restaurant, they are not able to pick up the order to reimburse us, they want us to move while we are at work to take the food, I am very disappointed with your customer service, and you have lost several customers in this sense.
